Fernanda Gomez has been an integral part of Canelo Alvarez's support system in the boxing world
Fernanda Gomez has stood by Canelo Alvarez through the ups and downs of his combat sports career. After going on an undefeated run for almost a decade, Alvarez suffered a unanimous decision loss against Dmitry Bivol in May 2022.
While the loss led a section of the boxing community to believe that the Mexican had started to decline, Gomez firmly supported Alvarez and penned a heartwarming message to him in an emotional Instagram post:
"So proud of you, of the risks you take to get out of your comfort zone, you are a champion in the entire extent of the word, and we will return stronger than ever I love you my world champ!"
