Who is Cub Swanson's wife, Kenda Perez? All about the former UFC host and model's career, married life, kids, and more

Kenda Perez, who is Cub Swanson's wife, isn't a typical athlete's wife, not even in the combat sports sense. While she isn't a fighter, former or otherwise, she isn't completely removed from the fight world either. So, who exactly is she? Fans are well aware of her husband. After all, he is a longtime UFC featherweight.

Swanson has been involved in the promotion for over a decade, signing with the UFC in 2011 following an inconsistent run in the WEC. Swanson never reached the heights he expected himself to, failing to even earn a featherweight title shot in the UFC.

So, what of his wife, Perez?

Who is Cub Swanson's wife, Kenda Perez?

Kenda Perez, 41, was born May 18, 1983, in Laguna Beach, California. While she doesn't have a martial arts background, her father, Ken Perez, is a Shitō-ryū karate black belt, which likely sparked her interest in combat sports, especially with karate later emerging in the MMA scene.

However, before entering the fight world, she worked as a model, first discovered after competing in Maxim Magazine's Hometown Hotties, where she finished in the top four. Thereafter, she appeared in various magazines, and even a few after no longer working primarily as a model.

Among these magazines was 'Inside Fitness,' which featured her alongside popular UFC ring girls Arianny Celeste and Brittney Palmer back in 2012. Following her modeling stint, she worked with the UFC as a television host, starting in 2009, presiding over 'The Best of Pride Fighting Championships.'

The show was a showcase in which Perez chronicled the extinct promotion's best-ever fights and greatest fighters. After a successful tenure as a host on the show, she subsequently hosted a second one, which focused on the WEC. She continues to do media work for the UFC, including backstage interviews.
