“Who you got?” – ONE fans pick the victor of epic bantamweight grappling scrap between Mikey Musumeci and Gabriel Sousa

Fans are surprisingly split down the middle when it comes to Mikey Musumeci's long-awaited rematch with Brazilian grappling standout Gabriel Sousa.

On Friday, June 7, 'Darth Rigatoni' will return to Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand for ONE 167, airing exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in the U.S. and Canada. There, Musumeci will move up from his post at flyweight, squaring off with Sousa in a highly anticipated bantamweight grappling bout.

Making his first appearance of 2024, Musumeci will be looking for a bit of redemption after suffering a loss against Sousa in September 2021 under the Who's Number One banner.

“BOILING. Will 'Darth Rigatoni' score redemption, or will Gabriel Sousa come out on top in their bantamweight submission grappling rematch at ONE 167 on Prime Video?”

Plenty of fans are pulling for the ONE flyweight submission grappling world champion to come out on top, evening the series with Sousa.

"Mikey all the way!"
"This match, IMO, will depend on the mental game more than skills. Will Mikey be able to focus on what's in front of him and not their past match? Looking forward to it."
"Mikey the Pasta King."

However, the Brazilian is not without his supporters, many suggesting he'll go two-up against the New Jersey native.

"Folks are sleeping on Sousa."
"Money on Sousa."
"Idk why they are sleeping on Sousa."

Musumeci puts his 'O' on the line in redemption-seeking rematch against Gabriel Sousa

Since their meeting nearly three years ago, Mikey Musumeci has become one of the most recognized names in all of BJJ, going 6-0 in ONE and collecting the inaugural flyweight grappling title in the process.

Most recently, Musumeci scored an impressive submission victory over Japanese MMA legend Shinya Aoki just past the three-minute mark of their openweight grappling match at ONE Fight Night 15.

As for Sousa, he will be making his ONE Championship debut at ONE 167, but don't let that fool you. The Brazilian has stayed busy competing in more than 40 matches since securing a stunning win over 'Darth Rigatoni.'
