Why Kamala Harris should not go on Joe Rogan's podcast: Ex-Fox News host Megyn Kelly weighs in on last-minute risk
Joe Rogan's podcast is not an ideal destination for the United States Vice President and Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris. That is, according to former Fox News host Megyn Kelly, at least. She recently offered her thoughts on reports that Harris is eyeing an appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience.
As Kelly says it, such a decision would be poor for Harris. Moreover, she opined that Harris being in contact with Rogan's team about an appearance on the latter's podcast is a likely indicator of poor internal polling. She said as much in an analysis of the situation on Sky News Australia.
"Can you imagine Kamala Harris going an hour-and-a-half with adversarial media? She has, however, changed her approach, and that includes putting herself out there at all. As you know, she's running a basement campaign similar to President [Joe] Biden when he ran in 2020 up until very recently. And obviously, it wasn't working. There's zero chance they'd be taking the risks that they're taking now if they had good internal polling."
Kelly added:
"You don't mess with the race if you have good internal polling. It's just more of the same, including going on Fox News on Wednesday night and weirdly putting out that she's in talks with Joe Rogan about possibly doing Rogan's show, which seems kind of hard to believe. Apparently he's going to do [Donald] Trump, and Trump's going to do Rogan, which is good. Is he really going to do Kamala? Even if he does, how on Earth is she going to say yes to that?"

If Harris does indeed appear on the JRE podcast, she might find herself in a difficult position, especially given Rogan's past criticism of the Democratic Party.
Joe Rogan's past stance on hosting presidential candidates was different
Amid reports that Joe Rogan is in talks to host both Kamala Harris and Donald Trump on his podcast, it is worth revisiting his past stance on doing so, as the UFC commentator once claimed that he wouldn't host any presidential candidate on his podcast.
"With him, it was like, I don't want to help anybody win this race. I certainly don't want to help him [Donald Trump], and I certainly don't want to help [Joe] Biden."

Times, however, appear to have changed, at least according to rumor.
