Why did Kevin Holland 'ambush' UFC middleweight Joseph Holmes?
Kevin Holland and his entourage were accused of ambushing UFC middleweight Joseph Holmes last night at Xtreme Knockout 60 in Dallas, Texas. Holmes took to Instagram to explain what happened and how the bad blood between him and Holland started.
According to Holmes, he dated Kevin Holland's uncle's ex-girlfriend "long ago," and the pair have had beef ever since. The UFC middleweight fighter said the following about the incident:
"I go back upstairs, and I see Kevin coming down the stairs. He stops in front of me, and reaches his hands out like he's gonna stop me, then grabs my arm... then I back him up. And next thing you know I'm getting punched in the back of my head."
He added:
"Over some long a** beef that's long ago. I dated his f***ing uncle's ex-girlfriend. And that's some beef that now I deserve to get hit in the back of the head over? Like get yo b***h a** on bro."

Holmes was signed to the UFC in 2022 and is currently 1-2 inside the promotion. Following last night's clash, the middleweight stated that he will be sending a fight contract to Kevin Holland.
'Trailblazer' is yet to respond to Holmes' allegations, but this is not the first tussle that Holland has had with a UFC fighter.
Holland has had run-ins with Darren Till and Khamzat Chimaev in the past, as well as Marvin Vettori.
