“Why are you running?” - Oumar ‘Reug Reug’ Kane accuses “fake champ” Anatoly Malykhin of cowardice ahead of ONE 169

Oumar 'Reug Reug' Kane isn't letting up on his trash talk of three-division MMA world champion Anatoly Malykhin.

Kane continued his social media tirade heading into his fight against Malykhin for the ONE heavyweight MMA world title in the main event of ONE 169 on Nov. 8 in US primetime at the historic Lumpinee Stadium.

Taking to Instagram, the Senegalese wrestling machine once again called Malykhin a "fake champ" and accused the reigning ONE middleweight, light heavyweight, and heavyweight MMA world champion of running away from his challenge.

Kane is heading into the biggest fight of his career when he challenges for ONE Championship gold for the first time.

The 32-year-old is 6-1 in ONE Championship and rides a four-fight winning streak.

His biggest win, so far, was a hard-fought unanimous decision win over BJJ legend Marcus 'Buchecha' Almeida at ONE Fight Night 13.

Malykhin, however, is a beast of a whole new level.

The Russian knockout machine is a perfect 14-0 in his career, 6-0 in ONE Championship, with all of his wins coming by way of knockout or submission.

Malykhin's terrifying power was on full display the moment he arrived at the promotion in 2021.

'Sladkiy' has six knockouts in ONE Championship and is coming off a journey to the 205-pound division when he took the ONE middleweight MMA world title from Reinier de Ridder at ONE 166.

Kane's world title challenge against Malykhin, and the entire ONE 169 card, are available live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.

Oumar 'Reug Reug' Kane says 'Buchecha' will always be his toughest competition despite impending Anatoly Malykhin fight

Oumar 'Reug Reug' Kane knows when to get under the skin of his opponents.

In a previous interview with the South China Morning Post, Kane said 17-time BJJ world champion Marcus 'Buchecha' Almeida will always be the stiffer competition compared to Malykhin:

"No, no. My biggest fight is 'Buchecha', you know. That guy is at a high level. A top-level, you know."
