Why did Tyson Fury name all his sons Prince? Mystery unsolved

Tyson Fury kids' names have an interesting meaning behind it.

'The Gypsy King' got a close-up in his Netflix reality show. Earlier this year, 'At Home With The Furys' was released, and has received warm reviews from fans and critics alike.

The reality program followed the Fury family for the better part of a year. In that year, the heavyweight champion famously retired from boxing, quickly unretired, defeated Derek Chisora, and more. However, the show also follows the lives of Tommy Fury, John Fury, and the titleholder's close family.

That means that Tyson's wife, Paris Fury, and their children have also gotten a close-up. When watching the show, many fans quickly realized that the heavyweight champions' sons all have the first name 'Prince'.

The three boys are named Prince John James, Prince Tyson II, and Prince Adonis Amaziah. While the subject wasn't discussed in the show, Fury previously discussed it in a 2020 documentary, 'Tyson Fury: The Gypsy King'.

There, he explained that he is a King, and his sons are his Princes. They will earn have to earn their name, with Fury stating:

"I'm a king and they're princes until they earn their rightful name."

Tyson Fury wants to make a mixed football team of his own children

It is not very common for average European families to have many kids these days. Paris and Tyson Fury love children and want to have a big family. Turns out that their decision to have many kids was made when they were just teenagers and they were both on the same page after getting married.

While speaking to The Daily Mail in a 2021 interview, Tyson Fury jokingly revealed the story behind the decision to have a large family. He said:

"It starts with a story nobody knows. Paris became my girlfriend when she was 15 and me 16. When time came for marriage, I asked her how many children she wanted. She said 10. I said that will do for me. Now we’ve decided to go for one more. Make it 11. Let’s have a mixed football team playing on the pitch at Morecambe."

Tyson and Paris Fury welcomed their seventh child, a baby boy named Prince Rico, in September 2023. The boy's middle name, Rico, is a tribute to Tyson Fury's late cousin Rico Burton. He was tragically murdered in 2022.
