Speaking on Paul's podcast IMPAULSIVE, Khalifa stated:

"I've been training for like five years now. I don't know, I f**k with it, it's just fun. It's cool to learn new s**t. I think the older you get, you just get into different things like your body just tells you what's cool and what's not cool."

Wiz also revealed how he began training in mixed martial arts:

"I started lifting and I went to Unbreakable with Jay Glazer and just naturally they just put me on this program. I'm kind of just open for whatever. Jiu-jitsu, wrestling, striking, it's whatever, if you want to teach me some s**t, I'm down to learn."

The rap star didn't commit one way or the other when asked if he could see himself taking a professional fight, claiming that anything could happen.

Khalifa trains under eighth-degree Coral belt Rigan Machado. Machado is the nephew of Carlos Gracie, one of the founders of Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and was one of the first to teach the sport in the United States.

Wiz Khalifa shares his thoughts on getting hit in mixed martial arts

While Wiz Khalifa has never fought professionally, he did share that he has sparred with former champions.

During his appearance on the IMPAULSIVE podcast, the rapper shared his thoughts on getting hit while training:

"I don't know if I like it [getting hit], but I don't mind it. I'm not one of those people... I do get fired up, but you're like, 'Yeah, alright.' You take a shot, you're like, 'Alright, I take one, now I'm going to go give one.' It's crazy because I didn't like playing football 'cause I didn't want to get hit, but in fighting, I don't mind at all."

While many celebrities have taken up boxing, there aren't many who would be willing to step into a mixed martial arts setting. If Khalifa were to do so, the bout would likely generate plenty of interest.
