Garcia has been active on social media for the past few months, so this is not the first time he has done anything similar. In a deleted post, he proposed to Billie Eilish and asked her out. Prior to this, he took to X and announced his celibacy, writing:
''I’m celibate leave me alone''
Just after announcing his celibacy, Garcia asked out Eilish, writing:
''Billie Eilish I love you let's go on that date respectfully, you and I forever''
Garcia continued by saying that they had already started dating through his Instagram Stories.
Aside from this, the professional boxer's most noteworthy recent experiences have included denying visits to Bohemian Grove, facing r*pe charges, and divorcing his wife on the day their child was born.
In terms of boxing, Garcia squared off against Devin Haney on April 20 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Garcia faced considerable criticism prior to his stunning victory. His training routine was called into doubt due to a weight miss and unusual social media behaviour.
Garcia put on an impressive 36-minute performance and prevailed by majority decision. The three judges scored the fight 112-112, 114-110, and 115-109 in the Californian's favor.
Meanwhile, in her last boxing appearance, Shields faced Maricela Cornejo in June last year. She won the fight via unanimous decision.
