A UFC welterweight vet recently clapped back at Shavkat Rakhmonov after the surging contender mockingly enquired about his diet.

'Nomad' took to X, where he reposted Kelvin Gastelum's tweet with a question regarding his status for UFC 295 this coming November. The welterweights were originally scheduled to compete at Noche UFC, but the former TUF winner was forced to withdraw from the event due to an injury. The unbeaten welterweight asked if the veteran welterweight is on schedule to make weight should they compete at UFC 295:

"How’s your diet going @KelvinGastelum? Are you ready for UFC 295?"

The former TUF winner wasn't too happy about the jibe Shavkat Rakhmonov directed towards him and clapped back with a comment of his own. He suggested that the unbeaten welterweight contender worry about himself and then mentioned that he will be ready for UFC 296, which takes place the following month, writing:

"Don’t worry about me. You worry about yourself and sign this contract. I’ll be ready Dec 16th! Let’s make a nice war!"

It will be interesting to see whether the UFC will officially announce Shavkat Rakhmonov vs. Kelvin Gastelum for UFC 296, especially considering that it appears the former TUF winner will be ready to return by then.

The former TUF winner uploaded a video where he explained his reasoning for pulling out of the fight. 'Nomad' was also removed from the card, and he took to X, where he questioned the severity of Gastelum's injury and put him on blast, writing:

"Pinata, I agreed to fight you on your territory on Mexican Independence Day in arena full of your supporters and it’s not my problem you can’t do it now. It’s your turn to accept to fight me on my territory in Abu Dhabi at UFC 294! Or did you realize it was bad idea just now?"
