Georges St-Pierre is undoubtedly in the conversation of being the greatest MMA fighter of all time. Throughout his career, he was an ambassador for the sport and provided many memorable moments for his hometown of Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

During the Elimination Chamber post-show press conference following last night's Elimination Chamber event, WWE superstar Sami Zayn praised the UFC Hall of Famer for his impact on the city. He mentioned that he met St-Pierre earlier in the day and that it was a great experience, saying:

"Georges St-Pierre was here tonight and I just met him for the first time, unbelievable guy - class act." [3:44 - 3:49]

Zayn also brought up that 'Rush' is not only a Canadian sports legend but a true symbol of Montreal sports. He mentioned that the former two-division UFC champion was always an athlete the entire city rallied around and that it is hard to find another who compared:

"This guy [Georges St-Pierre] to me was the benchmark of a Montreal athlete that was belonged to the city. A product of the city. That the people rallied around like no other. I still don't know if there's a comparable to be honest with you." [4:02 - 4:16]

Georges St-Pierre says 'never say never' to a future WWE appearance

Georges St-Pierre is a legend in combat sports, but it would be interesting to see whether he could follow in the footsteps of many other MMA fighters and transition into pro wrestling, even for a one-off.

While speaking with MMA journalist Ariel Helwani at WWE Elimination Chamber, 'Rush' was asked whether he'd like to get in the ring and perform now that he's retired from MMA. He responded by saying that although a full-time career wouldn't be ideal, he would be open to an appearance in the future:

"I have other priorities and you know, I'm happy where I'm at. But you know, I will never say no to an appearance or something special. Why not? it would be fun, of course." [3:11 - 3:20]

Montreal fans have always provided a great atmosphere for WWE events, so 'GSP' being involved in the future could be a possibility.
