Khabib Nurmagomedov shares his views on gun violence

UFC Hall of Famer Khabib Nurmagomedov recently shared his thoughts on gun violence in view of recent acts of gun violence in the United States.

In a recent interview with Class A Events, 'The Eagle' appeared to be in favor of ownership of weapons. However, the Dagestani made it clear that people should only carry firearms indoors in order to defend their families from potential external threats:

"If you don't have gun and you're from Dagestan...you have to wear you know...In US everybody wear gun. If people ask myself...I think you can wear gun inside your house just protect your family you know. Because anything can happen, you, with your family, kids. You the king inside the home...Protect yourself."

Nurmagomedov, however, added that he was vehemently opposed to anyone carrying weapons outside of their houses, saying:

"But outside I prefer to say no gun. This is my opinion because a lot of crazy people wear gun you know. Sometime they don't like something, something happened like you know it's like you become very emotional and you can do whatver you want. You can make mistakes, you can kill people because of emotional."

Alexander Volkanovski will be a tougher opponent than Oliveira for Islam Makhachev Makhachev, says Khabib Nurmagomedov

Appearing in the same interview, Khabib Nurmagomedov gave his thoughts on Makhachev's upcoming opponent.

Speaking of Volkanovski, Khabib believes 'The Great' will be a "tougher" fight for Makhachev than Charles Oliveira. However, the Dagestani champ will be able to finish the Australian fighter, according to 'The Eagle':

"I told Islam like even before last fight like Charles Oliveira... I told him like Volkanovski is gonna be tougher than Charles Oliviera, like before the fight. Because he was like, if Charles don't make weight, Volkanovski was supposed to fight with him [Makhachev]. And I think Volkanovski going to be tougher opponent for Islam than Charles Oliveira. But anyways, who cares? we gonna finish this guy[Volkanovski]."

Newly crowned lightweight champion Islam Makahchev is all set to make his first title defense against the current UFC Featherweight and pound-for-pound king, Alexander Volkanovski, at UFC 284. The fight, which will serve as the headliner match for the fight event, is scheduled to take place on February 11, 2023, at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia.
