"You can't come in and street-fight someone in a boxing match" - Jake Paul confident he would make "easy work" of Nate Diaz after win over Anderson Silva

Jake Paul recently beat the legendary Anderson Silva via unanimous decision in a boxing match. 'The Problem Child' is now open to face Nate Diaz, who recently fought out his UFC contract.

Having beaten Silva, who is considered to be one of MMA's finest strikers, Paul believes Diaz will be "easy work" for him. The 25-year-old said on The MMA Hour:

"I'll be down. I just beat one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time, Nate Diaz is easy work. Anderson Silva is way more difficult than Nate Diaz."

While Silva is known for being stylish, Diaz was also a feared striker in the UFC when it came to fighting in the pocket or engaging in sheer slugfests. When asked why he considers Diaz to be an easy matchup, Paul stated that the Stockton slugger lost some of striking prowess towards the end of his UFC stint.

'The Problem Child' also believes that Diaz's street-fighting skillset will be rendered ineffective against pure pugilism. Paul continued:

"Well, he's like slow and at the end of his career he's lost it as far as striking. Maybe he still has jiu-jitsu. But as far as striking and all that, he's just like a street fighter. Boxing is like the purest sport. It's art. And you can't come in and street-fight someone in a boxing match."

Is Nate Diaz vs. Jake Paul likely to happen in the future

Jake Paul once against proved his haters wrong by dropping Anderson Silva in the eighth and final round of their boxing match to earn a unanimous decision victory. 'The Problem Child' immediately called out Nate Diaz, setting up a seemingly inevitable clash.

Diaz had been hinting at a boxing match against Paul even when he was still under his UFC contract. While both fighters were focused on their scheduled bouts, the YouTuber-turned-boxer did not refrain from taking occasional digs at Diaz to keep the rivalry alive.

Diaz was also present at the Jake Paul vs. Anderson Silva event, where he got involved in a backstage scuffle. In signature Stockton style, Diaz slapped one of Paul's entourage members, although the reason behind it remains unclear.

Meanwhile, the Stockton slugger fits the bill for Paul's next opponent as 'The Problem Child' doesn't seem to be eyeing a fight against a professional boxer any time soon.
