"You got to be obsessed with it" - Teenage prodigy Adrian Lee on the best advice he received for budding MMA career

ONE lightweight MMA rising star Adrian Lee is surrounded by incredible mentors, so it's not surprising that he's wise beyond his years.

The 18-year-old upstart is indeed the perfect sponge, who humbly absorbs knowledge and guidance to fully reach his incredible potential.

In a recent interview with Cageside Press, Lee was asked about the biggest lesson he learned so far in his burgeoning professional career.

"One quote I read a while ago and it kinda stuck [with me] is, 'You got to be obsessed with it. That's the only way to truly succeed and win,'" he shared.

There's no doubt that Adrian Lee is a talented figure who may just become great one day. If he indeed turns mixed martial arts into an obsession, that immense potential may be realized sooner rather than later.

'The Phenom' lived up to his moniker and more with a triumphant debut against Antonio Mammarella at ONE 167 last June.

Lee showcased tremendous versatility on the feet and the ground and manhandled his Australian foe.

The youngest of the famed Lee blood will look to score another impressive victory at ONE 168: Denver in his three-round tiff with hometown bet Nico Cornejo at Ball Arena.

Adrian Lee says recovery is key to lengthy MMA career

MMA fighters certainly accumulate a ton of damage and scar tissue over time.

That's why as early as now, Adrian Lee is already prioritizing recovery to make sure he'd have a long professional career ahead of him.

The Prodigy Training Center star said in the same interview:

"You'd find me in bed on the rest days, which is Sundays. I just sleep all day. I sleep, eat, recover. I do anything I can to get all the rest and recover to the fullest."
