"You got one win in the UFC" - Dustin Poirier launches scathing attack on "not one of us" Michael Chandler

Dustin Poirier beat Michael Chandler via third-round submission when the two clashed at UFC 281 back in November 2022. Despite winning the bout, 'The Diamond' labeled 'Iron' as a dirty fighter, accusing him of intentionally fish-hooking his mouth and blowing bloody snot on him.

The feud between the two has seemingly not died down as they have continued to exchange words on social media. The No.4-ranked lightweight ripped Chandler for his comments that he should retire. Speaking to Ariel Helwani of The MMA Hour, Poirier stated:

"I mean, come on dude, 'no thanks, retire, we good', who the f**k is we? You just got here, buddy. You're not one of us. You're not we. I've been here, you know?
"You've got one win in the UFC."

When asked if the tweet from Chandler p*ssed him off, Poirier responded:

"Yeah, bro, he's not one of us. You know, I've been cutting my teeth in the UFC since January of 2011 or 2010, you know? He just got here, who's we? He's speaking for the lightweight division? Dude, muscle milk Mike needs to chill."

Chandler has not competed since his loss to Poirier at UFC 281. The No.6-ranked lightweight had been set to welcome Conor McGregor back to the octagon at UFC 303 last month. However, the bout fell through as 'The Notorious' broke his toe. While 'Iron' and 'The Diamond' continue to feud, a rematch between the two appears unlikely for now.

Dustin Poirier open to taking a boxing match

Dustin Poirier teased that his last bout could be his final time entering the UFC octagon. While he has not made a decision, he revealed that he is open to taking a boxing match. Speaking to Ariel Helwani of The MMA Hour, the No.4-ranked lightweight stated:

"I've been doing MMA a while and I still love the training camps and love fighting, but to go to purely boxing, the whole training camp would be a lot less wearing on my body. No wrestling, no jiu jitsu, it would be boxing, running, swimming, you know that's fun. That's fun stuff."

Poirier said Nate Diaz would be his ideal opponent in a boxing match. Despite being viewed as one of the best boxers in the UFC, 'The Diamond' has never entered the boxing ring.
