“You ran for months” - Oumar ‘Reug Reug’ Kane ramps up the trash talk, calls Anatoly Malykhin “fake” ahead of ONE 169
Oumar 'Reug Reug' Kane is ready to unseat Anatoly Malykhin off ONE Championship's heavyweight MMA throne.
The Senegalese wrestling machine has a crack at gold when he challenges Malykhin for the ONE heavyweight MMA world title at the stacked ONE 169 card on Nov. 8 at the iconic Lumpinee Stadium.
'Reug Reug' has been on a rampaging path throughout his training camp, and he took to Instagram to share what he thinks about the three-division MMA world champion.
Sharing a post from the South China Morning Post, Kane alleged that Malykhin had been running away from him, and that Bangkok will be the site where the Russian knockout merchant will have to eventually give up the gold.
"Nowhere to hide fake guy @anmalykhin. You ran for months until you ran out of excuses 🤡"
Kane is on an impressive four-fight winning streak, including a hard-fought unanimous decision victory over BJJ legend Marcus 'Buchecha' Almeida, ahead of his first world title shot in ONE Championship.
A bullish force on the ground, Kane often relies on his brute strength to grind his opponents into exhaustion to get the upper hand.
It's on the ground where Kane does most of his damage with his suffocating Senegalese wrestling style paving the way for his devastating ground-and-pound arsenal.
Malykhin, however, has looked practically unstoppable in his six-fight run in ONE Championship.
'Sladkiy' is a perfect 6-0 in the promotion, 14-0 overall, and holds both the ONE middleweight and light heavyweight MMA world titles.
The triple-champ is also on a ridiculous 100 percent finish rate with all six of his wins in ONE Championship ending via knockout.
ONE 169 is available live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
Jackie Buntan says world title meeting between Anatoly Malykhin and 'Reug Reug' will have fans at the edge of their seats
A colossal meeting between two heavyweights is always a sight, and even fighters such as Jackie Buntan are intrigued to see the world title matchup between Anatoly Malykhin and Oumar 'Reug Reug' Kane.
Buntan said in an interview with Sportskeeda MMA that the heavyweight MMA world title matchup would be an easy candidate for fight of the night:
"Yeah, I think that fight is gonna have everybody standing up from their seats. Just two monster athletes going at it in four-ounce gloves like it’s gonna be insane."
As for Buntan, the Filipino-American standout will face Anissa Meksen for the inaugural ONE women's strawweight kickboxing world title at ONE 169.
