“You’re dead” - Kwon Won Il promises to throw old nemesis Fabricio Andrade off bantamweight throne at ONE 170

Kwon Won Il just injected new life into his long-simmering feud with Fabricio Andrade. The South Korean star will challenge Andrade for the ONE bantamweight MMA world title at ONE 170 on Jan. 24 at Impact Arena.

Taking to Instagram, Kwon promised to end Andrade's reign in the most gruesome way possible when they face each other for the second time in their careers.

He also proclaimed that he would take the ONE bantamweight MMA world title when he's done with Andrade in Bangkok.

Kwon Won Il wrote:

"👑AND NEW WORLD CHAMPION👑 It was a rough path, but I will be the champion and I will get that revenge this time. Started from the bottom, now we're here. Please be with me in this journey. I will WIN. Hey Chicken Dance Andrade, you're dead 💯 And NEW WORLD CHAMPION"

Kwon first took on Andrade at ONE 158 in June 2022 but lost to the Brazilian knockout machine via first-round knockout.

'Pretty Boy' has since recovered from that loss with a three-fight winning streak, with all three victories coming via knockout.

The 29-year-old unleashed his power and frustrations and sent Mark Abelardo, Artem Belakh, and Shinechagtga Zoltsetseg to the shadow realm in his quest to secure that rematch against Andrade.

Kwon's world title challenge against Andrade is the third world title fight announced for ONE 170 after ONE Championship revealed the first two in October.

Tawanchai PK Saenchai's defense of the ONE featherweight Muay Thai world championship against Superbon will headline the January card.

Superlek Kiatmoo9 will also defend his ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title against Scottish monster Nico Carrillo.

Fabricio Andrade always knew he would always cross paths with Kwon Won Il

Fabricio Andrade always had an inkling that he and Kwon Won Il would always have another match against one another in ONE Championship.

After their June 2022 matchup solidified Andrade's reputation as one of the deadliest knockout machines, Kwon Won Il worked his way back up to contention and is locked in for a shot at the ONE bantamweight MMA world title.

Despite Kwon's recent success, Andrade said he'd still knock Kwon out for a second time around.

Andrade told the South China Morning Post:

"Yeah, man. I'm gonna knock you out, I'm gonna knock him out, you know, just wait a little bit, you know, because I'm going to be back soon and I'm gonna knock him out sooner or later."
