"You saw what I did to Nate Diaz" - Jake Paul calls out Conor McGregor while asking him to "lay off the cocaine"

Once Jake Paul steps into the ring for his main event bout on July 20, he will have his full attention on BKFC star Mike Perry. That has not stopped him from calling out Conor McGregor for a future fight at the event press conference three days before.

After McGregor became a part-owner of the BKFC in 2024, he has since become one of their biggest promoters and praised Perry at a recent promotional event ahead of his matchup with Paul. 'The Problem Child' was asked for his response to McGregor's statement at his press conference, eliciting a disgruntled callout from the 27-year-old.

Paul said:

"Once I knock out Mike Perry, Conor McGregor, let's run it. But you won't do it because you know what's going to happen. You saw what I did to Nate Diaz, who you went toe-to-toe with. So lay off the cocaine, get in the gym, and start winning fights and maybe we can have a conversation."

In his full response, Paul dismissed the BKFC as a legitimate boxing promotion, calling bare-knuckle fighters "street fighters" with "no skill" and "have no idea what the sweet science is."

Perry fired back at Paul's criticism by applauding his fellow BKFC competitors but also took offense to McGregor's comment. Despite 'The Notorious' praising his skills, the King of Violence said he "was an owner first" before McGregor got involved with the BKFC.

Jake Paul vs. Mike Perry preview

Jake Paul was originally scheduled to face Mike Tyson in the Netflix live boxing debut on July 20 but will instead take on Mike Perry, BKFC's No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter, in Tampa, Florida.

Ahead of his 11th professional boxing fight, Paul owns a record of 10-1, with the only loss of his career to Tommy Fury in February 2023. Since then, the former YouTuber has picked up three straight wins to get back on track ahead of arguably the biggest test of his career against Perry.

Unlike Jake Paul, Mike Perry does not have much experience in boxing, with just one professional fight back in 2015. 'Platinum' has instead made a name for himself by going 5-0 in bare-knuckle boxing with BKFC since leaving the UFC in 2021.
