Young lightweight prospect lists down "two things" he's surprised to see in Khamzat Chimaev's rabbit hunt post
Khamzat Chimaev recently caught the attention of fight fans with a picture of two dead rabbits that he hunted using a Tavor. He captioned the post as "UFC 312."
Fans worldwide criticized this post because it was clear that Chimaev was making fun of Sean Strickland and Dricus du Plessis, who will face each other at UFC 312.
Chase Hooper, a lightweight combatant, who similarly didn't seem to be thrilled by 'Borz's' most recent post, responded negatively by writing:
"Two things I’m surprised to see:-a Muslim using an Israeli weapon-a pistol caliber Tavor"
Many fans expected Chimaev to face du Plessis for the middleweight title after his most recent victory over Robert Whittaker at UFC 308. However, the UFC announced that Strickland would rematch 'Stillknocks' at UFC 312 next February instead.
Dana White wants Khamzat Chimaev to compete in the US "for a title"
CEO Dana White was impressed by Khamzat Chimaev’s recent victory over Whittaker. 'Borz' won by first-round submission, and the ferocity of the face crank forced Whittaker to tap very quickly.
Following the victory, some believed that Chimaev, who is now in the running for the title, would take on middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis in an attempt to dethrone him.
The UFC, however, has different intentions, even though 'Stillknocks' preferred to defend his title against the undefeated phenom than rematch with 'Tarzan'.
White, who appeared on The Jim Rome Show, talked about how he wants 'Borz' to fight for the title in the United States down the line:
“This guy’s [Chimaev] never looked better, especially against the competition that he had. I’m looking forward to him getting a title fight in ’25. We’ll see how this plays out here, but I want him to fight in the United States. I want him to fight for a title here in the U.S.”
