Youssef Assouik plans statement win over Sinsamut to warn the rest of the division: “They can’t hide”
29-year-old Dutch-Moroccan star Youssef Assouik is getting ready to take on the toughest test of his young professional career. Assouik is making his ONE Championship debut against the dangerous Thai striker 'Aquaman' Sinsamut Klinmee in Oct. 2024.
The Assouik Gym representative is hard at work, perfecting his skills for his first appearance in the world's largest martial arts organization.
Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Assouik shared his thoughts on facing Sinsamut and making a statement against the best fighters in the world.
The 29-year-old stated:
"Sinsamut is a strong guy. I think I will handle him well because I’m tough. I look forward to being part of this organization. I want to face him and face other big names here. They can’t hide."
Assouik joins a stacked ONE Championship lightweight division filled with incredible talent. At the top of the stack sit two incredible fighters in 'Barboza' Alexis Nicolas and 'The Immortal' Regian Eersel, who will also appear on the ONE Fight Night 25 card after Assouik.
Needless to say, the Dutch-Moroccan standout has high hopes for his time in ONE Championship, and he plans on kicking things off on a positive note against Sinsamut.

The two lock horns at ONE Fight Night 25: Nicolas vs. Eersel II on Prime Video, which broadcasts live from the historic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand on Friday, Oct. 4.
