Paulo Costa demands blue tick on Twitter warning Elon Musk that he would "spread around" that he is the "beast of the antichrist"

Paulo Costa jokingly threatened Elon Musk to give him verified status on Twitter.

Since buying Twitter in October 2022, Musk has made several significant changes to the social media platform, including the verification system. As a result, most people have to pay a monthly fee for verified account status unless they are a massive celebrity who is given the verification.

Costa addressed Musk’s verification system by saying this on Twitter:

“Mr @elonmusk Elon Musk give me a blue seal or i will spread around that you are the beast of the anti christ. don't be long please”

Although Paulo Costa is a fairly well known fighter in the MMA community, he might not be a big enough celebrity for Elon Musk to offer him free Twitter verification. With that said, the number five-ranked UFC middleweight is preparing to take his popularity to the next level by going on a title run.

After losing back-to-back fights against Israel Adesanya and Marvin Vettori, Costa returned to the win column in August 2022. He took on Luke Rockhold in the UFC 278 co-main event and emerged victorious by unanimous decision. The 32-year-old Brazilian looks to continue building momentum later this year.

Mr @elonmusk Elon Musk give me a blue seal or i will spread around that you are the beast of the anti christ 🙏. don't be long please

What’s next for Paulo Costa in the UFC?

On July 29, Paulo Costa is expected to make his ninth Octagon appearance at UFC 291. Costa has drawn a main card spot on an event that features Dustin Poirier vs. Justin Gaethje II, Jan Blachowicz vs. Alex Pereira, Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson vs. Michel Pereira, and Derrick Lewis vs. Marcos Rogerio de Lima.

Costa has been matched up against Ikram Aliskerov, who holds a professional MMA record of 14-1. The Russian-born fighter made his UFC debut on May 6 after earning his contract on Dana White’s Contender Series. He quickly put the middleweight division on notice with a highlight-reel knockout in the first round against Phil Hawes. The 30-year-old now looks to fast-track his career by entering the rankings with a win at UFC 291.

Costa vs. Aliskerov goes down inside the Vivinit Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah. Other fights scheduled for UFC 291 are Michael Chiesa vs. Kevin Holland, Tony Ferguson vs. Bobby Green, and CJ Vergara vs. Vinicius Salvador.
