MMA News: Ronda Rousey talks about her return to the UFC

Ronda Rousey is determined to take back the bantamweight title

Ronda Rousey has been out of the scene for more than six months, since Holly Holm ended her three-year reign as a champion last November.

The 29-year old has been quiet since the painful loss to Holm, and is still undecided on when she will fight in the Octagon. But she expressed his desire to regain the Championship sometime in the future.

Rousey recently participated in the conference hosted by Robin Roberts, and she put all the speculations regarding her future aside by announcing her intention to regain the belt.

"I want to win my belt back," Rousey said after being asked what she had left to accomplish in the UFC.

It seems that the Olympic Bronze medalist is very much compelled to fight again and she doesn’t care about whom she faces upon her return.

Rousey also revealed a story from her teenage days to describe her current mental state, recalling a time when she was lost to a girl in the Junior Nationals, only to face her again the following year.

"Ear muffs for all the little kids. They told me not to swear. But here is my mom's favorite momism," Rousey explained.

“This is the advice her coach gave her. I was a little pre-teen when she gave this to me because I went to the Junior Nationals and I lost my first Junior Nationals. I ended up fighting (the same girl) again later, and my mom she like pulled me aside to the mat and she's like I'm going to tell you what my coach told me when she lost the French Open and ended up winning the World Championships later.

I'm going to tell you what he told me -- 'Winning's a (expletive) but revenge is a mother (expletive)'. You go get her!"

It is note worthy here that Holm’s reign as champion since conquering from Rousey was short-lived. She lost the belt to Miesha Tate at UFC 196, and then Tate lost it last weekend to Amanda Nunes at UFC 200.

With news coming in from UFC that Tate could be out until 2017 because of a broken nose suffered against Nunes, Rousey’s possible return, and Dana White confirming that she will be fighting for the title match straightaway should be great news for the fans.
