Joe Rogan explains the difference between Ronnie Coleman and other bodybuilders

Joe Rogan had a lot of praise for former bodybuilder Ronnie Coleman when describing his work ethic on his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience.

Rogan was joined by Steve-O on a recent episode and mentioned a major difference between Coleman and other bodybuilders. He explained that his approach and routine were very different:

"Ronnie was lifting crazy weight - wild, wild, wild amounts - cause he just wanted to be massive. Just as massive as a person can be and he accomplised that, but he paid the price. He would hurt his back and keep lifting like go through the set. He wouldn't stop and assess what was wrong with him...Without doubt, one of the greatest to ever do it."

The UFC commentator mentioned that the bodybuilder had the vertebrae in his back fused together. He added that Coleman sustained various injuries that resulted in long-term effects:

"Like whoever did that, like Jesus Christ, there's different ways to fix people's backs...He's in real pain, he can barely move around. He went down and got some stem-cells and he's got some improvement now. I think he went to BioXcellerator and they helped him a bit, but he's got a lot of nerve damage and his legs don't work correctly anymore."

Rogan told Steve-O that 'The King' was in a wheelchair when he was a guest on his podcast, however, he remains in good spirits and works out regularly.
