Sean O'Malley and his daughter react to Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler TUF coaches

Sean O'Malley has provided a hilarious reaction to The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) Season 31 coaches' announcement.

The MMA community has been fired up since Dana White revealed that Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler are the coaches for the newest TUF season. Everyone seems to be reacting to the thrilling news, including O’Malley, the number one-ranked UFC bantamweight.

‘Suga’ posted his reaction with a comedic flare. He posted a YouTube short video with his young daughter Elena, saying this:

“Elena, Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler are The Ultimate Fighter coaches this year. Can you believe it? Ain’t that crazy? It’s insane.”

Although Elena didn’t seem very excited, O’Malley and other MMA fans are ecstatic. McGregor is returning to The Ultimate Fighter after first coaching in 2015 against Urijah Faber. TUF has arguably lacked the entertainment value it once had, which has now been reinvigorated by the presence of ‘The Notorious’.

NOW THIS is how you start a Saturday!!

McGregor hasn’t fought since July 2021, when he suffered a severe leg injury in a loss against Dustin Poirier. Meanwhile, Chandler last fought against Poirier, losing by a third-round submission. ‘The Notorious’ and ‘Iron’ are both action-packed strikers, leading to a must-see matchup at the end of the TUF 31 season.

What’s next for Sean O'Malley?

While Sean O'Malley isn’t making entertaining social media content, the Montana native is racking up wins in the Octagon. ‘Suga’ last fought against Petr Yan, winning by a split decision to emerge as the number one bantamweight contender. The question is, what’s next for the UFC superstar?

O’Malley is hoping to fight for the 135-pound title next time out. The reigning champion, Aljamain Sterling, will fight Henry Cejudo next, but a date hasn’t been set. Sterling suffered a torn bicep, and he’s hoping stem cells can prevent him from needing surgery. If the alternate recovery method is successful, ‘Funk Master’ vs. Cejudo is rumored to be aimed for May.

The bantamweight division is arguably the most stacked in the UFC. Nearly all of the top 15 ranked fighters are booked, including Petr Yan (3) vs. Merab Dvalishvili (3) and Marlon Vera (4) vs. Cory Sandhagen (5). Needless to say, the future is bright for the shark-infested 135-pound division.
