"That's an extraordinary human being" - Joe Rogan breaks down Conor McGregor's mindset in high-pressure situations
In a recent podcast, Joe Rogan broke down Conor McGregor's exceptional mental fortitude to perform at the highest levels. 'The Notorious' is known for his trash talk and mind games, where he gets under his opponent's skin and weakens their mental strength. But what sets him apart from the other fighters is that he can back it up with his performances.
On the December 16 episode of "The Joe Rogan Experience," the UFC commentator explained the Irishman's psyche to his guest Mark Boal:
"That's an extraordinary human being, that's a rare, one in x amount of million kind of people that can do what he does and talk the kind of sh*t he does and then get into an Octagon and f**k people up."
Boal, an American journalist and screenwriter, asked Joe Rogan if he was talking about the 'mentality' of Conor McGregor. The UFC commentator then explained with an example what he meant by his praise for the Irishman.
After giving Boal details about the trash talk and backstory, he showed his guest the McGregor vs. Jose Aldo fight from 2015. McGregor knocked out Aldo in 13 seconds to win the featherweight title.
Take a look at the highlights of the fight:
Rogan replayed the video and explained to Boal how one moment set off a chain reaction of such fights for the Irishman and turned him into the richest MMA fighter the sport has ever seen.
Joe Rogan kept reiterating how rare it was to have someone with such a mentality, where they were unfazed by the pressure, and describing McGregor as the epitome of it.
“To be a person that can do that under that kind of pressure, that’s an extraordinary human being. There’s very very very few of them that have ever walked the face of the earth that can do that in front of that many people and in that moment which is built up over months and months and months. Really years of taunting him, but months and months and months."

Joe Rogan says being 'woke' is a cult in America
Joe Rogan has given his thoughts on America's 'woke' and cancel culture. The UFC commentator is known for his non-conformist and sometimes controversial views on pressing social and political topics. In a recent podcast, he spoke about the cancel culture in the United States and what being 'woke' means in today's day and age:
"There's a lot of cult-like thinking going on and that's what woke America is. Being woke is a cult. It doesn't mean being compassionate is a cult. Being kind and considerate and open-minded, and inclusive. All those things are wonderful, that's great, it's good for everybody. But that's not what's being promoted today, what's being promoted today is either you think the way I think or you're a bigot."
Cancel culture is rampant in the United States, and Rogan believes that it has become a cult that thinks of itself as one and does not value the opinion of others; instead, it just cancels any differing opinions.
