"They might've been strippers" - When Brendan Schaub spoke about Colby Covington "renting" women for videos
Former UFC heavyweight contender Brendan Schaub once speculated on the women featured in Colby Covington's videos.
Covington is notorious for his WWE-style outspoken personality that has had a polarizing effect on the MMA community. Oftentimes, he's spotted with models in UFC promotional videos as well as his fight bet tips and predictions on Instagram.
Ahead of his UFC 245 title unification bout against Kamaru Usman, Covington appeared with two ladies in an interview with Schaub on the Food Truck Diaries. Curiously enough, Schaub shared a funny anecdote from the interaction with Covington during a conversation with Henry Cejudo. 'Big Brown' said:
"He did his gimmick and this is the best part, he rented two chicks and I was like 'Do you have to do this?' And he was like 'I'm sorry man, I got to.' So, they don't know who he is and they hate being in there. They may have been strippers, I don't know. Lovely ladies."
Schaub added:
"So when they're back he goes... you can tell he is always thinking, he goes, 'Oh, while I'm talking to Brendan, can one of you rub my shoulders?' And she goes, 'I'm not rubbing your f**king shoulders.'"

Covington wields a 2-3 record in his last five outings suggesting a diminished stature of the former dominant self that went on a seven-fight win streak before that. 'Chaos' was last seen in the octagon against Leon Edwards, dropping a unanimous decision to the welterweight champion in his third bid to claim the title.
Ian Garry claims Colby Covington is "avoiding" a fight against him
Colby Covington has categorically pulled no punches in talking about a potential fight with undefeated Irish welterweight Ian Garry. The American has consistently belittled Garry's credentials while also launching derogatory remarks at the undefeated fighter and his wife.
Meanwhile, Garry claims that Covington hasn't been able to back up the words with action, allegedly turning down a potential fight against 'The Future' on UFC 303. Garry claimed that while he has agreed to fight the former interim 170-pound champion, the same cannot be said for Covington. Speaking in a recent interview with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, Garry said:
“Honestly, there [were] so many different reasons that just didn’t align in my mind. They said at first he can’t get [medically cleared], and then it was, ‘Oh, he’s fine, he wants the fight.’ He’s on talking about, ‘I’ll fight, I’ll fight, I’ll fight,’ but then he’s not accepting. The truth is, I think he’s just avoiding me. He’s just avoiding the fight because he knows, ‘Ian Garry’s too dangerous for me to step in that octagon with, I’ll try to wait and find someone else."
