Tony Ferguson goes off on Twitter, accuses Khabib Nurmagomedov and Ali Abdelaziz of owing him over $500,000
Tony Ferguson has decided to reignite his feud with Khabib Nurmagomedov after claiming both 'The Eagle' and his manager Ali Abdelaziz owe him over half a million dollars.
Ferguson and Nurmagomedov's infamous rivalry is known as perhaps the most cursed in MMA history. At the peak of their careers in the lightweight division, the two men were booked to face one another five separate times. However, a multitude of injuries, freak accidents and COVID-19 prevented them from sharing an octagon.
'The Eagle' later retired from the UFC in 2020, the same year the final bout with 'El Cucuy' was canceled. Since then, Tony Ferguson has suffered from rapidly declining form, losing his last five bouts in a row.
Despite Nurmagomedov having walked away from MMA, Ferguson has once again taken aim at the Russian fighter and Abdelaziz. 'El Cucuy' wrote on Twitter:
"Your still my b*tch @TeamKhabib @AliAbdelaziz You c*nts owe me over half a mil now. I'll take it off your heads like a haircut as you did business wrong with w: me. Nuh uh uhhh... Daddy don't forget... Check it out, I'm a tracker taught by my pops. Never like to kill, but for you"
Tony Ferguson congratulates Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler for TUF 31
Earlier this month, Dana White dropped the news that Conor McGregor would be returning to the octagon. The Irishman will head a team on the latest season of 'The Ultimate Fighter' (TUF) opposite Michael Chandler. The two stars will then main-event a pay-per-view before the end of the year.
Prior to the UFC president's announcement, Tony Ferguson floated the idea of him finally settling his beef with Khabib Nurmagomedov by coaching against 'The Eagle' on TUF. At the time, White and Nurmagomedov seemed open to the idea, but the UFC have opted for McGregor versus Chandler.
In a post on Twitter, the 39-year-old Ferguson offered his respect to both fighters before adding that he hoped they'd knock each other out when they meet in the octagon:
"Best of luck to both of you knuckleheads McNuggets, Conor McGregor & chandelier, Michael Chandler. Hope you both knock each other the fu** out after [the] season. Teach them some good stuff boys & act accordingly gentlemen... Have fun."
