Time: 17:00 CT
Operator: Please stand by. We're about to begin. Good day and welcome to the UFC 206 Conference Call. Today's conference is being recorded. At this time I'd like to turn the conference over to Matt Radmanovich. Please go ahead, sir.
Matt Radmanovich: Hi everyone and welcome to the UFC 206 Holloway vs. Pettis Conference Call. UFC 206 takes place Saturday, December 10th live from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Canada. This will mark the first time the UFC has been back to Toronto since September 2013. On today's call, we have number three-ranked Featherweight Max “Blessed” Holloway and Former Lightweight Champion and current number six-ranked 145 pounder Anthony “Showtime” Pettis. They will face off for the interim Featherweight title and the right to face current undisputed champion Jose Aldo sometime in 2017 to unify the title. And with that, I'll turn it over for the first questions for Max and Anthony.
Operator: And if you would like to ask a question you may signal by pressing *1 on your telephone keypad. And we'll take our first question from Dave Deibert of Postmedia News.
Dave Deibert: Yeah, thanks for the time. Question for both of you. What's the initial reaction when the promotion comes to you and says, main event, Interim Title.
Max Holloway: You know, it's just another fight, man. It is what it is. I thought I was going to get bumped for the main event anyway, do the two extra rounds, but now we get to do two extra rounds and one of us get to walk home with shiny gold belt. So we're here to fight. We're professionals. I'm a professional. I've been getting ready. You got to be ready for opportunities like this all the time, especially lately what the way UFC stuff been happening, all kind of crazy stuff, so we always very been ready in December 10th, I can't wait to show the world what's up.
Anthony Pettis: Yeah I mean for me it's just another fight. I've been getting ready to match Holloway the whole time to extra rounds for us to put on a show in for Toronto. I feel like it's our job to make this stand out and make this main event a big part of this Toronto tour.
Dave Deibert: All right, and then just kind of a follow-up. Max, do you – in your words crazy stuff going on around UFC. Have you guys heard the criticism about this fight being, you know, slotted in as an interim title bout, you know, just to trickle down, and some criticism saying that it shouldn't be Interim Title Fight, Main Event, fine but why do wait for the Interim Title? If you've heard that criticism, I'm curious what your response is to that.
Max Holloway: I saw a little, I saw a lot of good versus bad. You know, it always the bad, and you know, it is what it is. You’re always gonna have these haters, haters going to hate. You know, we're going to – this – the show still needs to go on and we're doing it you know, as I was supposed to be booked with the interim title with Jose Aldo. You know at 205 just talking about and he was supposed to be here at 206, so, I don't know what's going on with that guy’s mind whatever he needs to get his mind straight, but all I know I got my mind straight. I got credits on December 10th and now I'm looking forward to a fight.
Dave Deibert: All right, Anthony?
Anthony Pettis: Yeah I mean, I honestly don't look into any of that stuff anymore, man. I've been a champion before. I know how these bouts does work. Once you get a title shot it doesn't really happen to a lot of guys. You got to be in the right position in the right time and you know it worked out for us. We don't decide who's fighting for the title. Me and Max would agree to fight five round without a title, but with the interim belt on the line, it makes it that much better of a fight.
Dave Deibert: Okay, all right. Thank you guys very much for the time.
Max Holloway: Thanks man.
Anthony Pettis: Thank you.
Operator: And we will take our next question from Neil Davidson of The Canadian Press.
Neil Davidson: Thank you. My question follows up really on what Anthony was saying. I wonder does the interim championship mean anything to either of you or is really the big prize just a chance to fight for the undisputed title? Does that interim belt mean anything, maybe Max?
Anthony Pettis: Oh yeah, definitely it means that we're getting a definite shot at the official title of 145 pounds. I mean there's no – that type of title shot don’t come a lot in this sport, and this right here is a fight for both of us that will guarantee ourselves at the under 145 pound division.
Neil Davidson: Anthony?
Max Holloway: Yeah that would be – isn't that, yeah? Exactly what he said man. Exactly what Anthony said man it is what it is. It's – the water at this (expletive) division was super murky. Now it's super clear. You know, the winner of this fight gets to fight for the undisputed title. And it's always great to have extra cash in your pocket too, so it means a lot. So we will see what happens. We’ll take care of business and it's a straight shot after that.
Neil Davidson: Thanks. Sorry about the confusion.
Operator: And next, we will hear from Damon Martin of Fox Sports.
Damon Martin: First question is for Anthony. Anthony, I'm kind of curious now that you're into your second training camp for Featherweight. Can you kind of give me a sense of what you thought of your first performance at Featherweight and what is the biggest difference going into the second fight?
Anthony Pettis: Yeah, first performance at Featherweight was just a trial, I guess. I was that one in there for Charles Oliveira, who is a great opponent with great jiu-jitsu and the weight was the thing that I had to figure out, how I would make a 145 pounds and how do I simply doing it. We saw it the first time going around. The power and the speed is the only difference from 155 to 145. The need for power isn't as much as the need for speed so we definitely focused our camp on being quick and being agile and making sure we can go 25 minutes at 145 pounds.
Damon Martin: I know you had to face a lot of, I guess, demons maybe was the best word for it. But you had to face a lot up and downs after that three fight losing streak. And the last fight was very important but how big is this fight for you and for your legacy to go out there and win and you know kind of show everybody that you are back, that you the same Anthony Pettis who went out there and won the lightweight champion. I mean is there is a little bit of that going into this fight for you?
Anthony Pettis: I mean this fight was big before this mini event happened and the interim title happened. This fight was the number one guy in 145 pounds. Max is on a huge fight win streak; fighting a guy like that puts you right in the title contention that's what I was you know coming into this fight at. And now it's a guarantee title shot though, as you have seen, but yeah I mean, I have never lost three times in my life. Let alone one time was our decision. I was just it's one of those things that I had to figure it out. I think you got to go through the lowest lows to get to the highest highs and I'm excited where I'm at right now, great training camp, great opponent in front of me and a Toronto crowd that I’m excited to go put on a performance for.
Damon Martin: Where did you spend your majority of the time training? I know you've been out of Jacksons a little bit. I know you're back in Milwaukee and where did you spend the majority of this training camp?
Anthony Pettis: I did the whole training camp here in Milwaukee. I got back to just the roots of what got me into it. So the whole training camp here in Milwaukee, but actually, it hasn't been bad weather either and so far November has been pretty good too.
Damon Martin: Was there any I don’t want to say falling out maybe the wrong word. But what happened with Jackson's? Was that a just a change of mind for you or…
Anthony Pettis: No, you know, I went to Jacksons for the sparring and I think that's what everybody – and everybody understand while I was going there, I went for the sparring and I met Greg Jackson. And he’s a tremendous coach, great mindset for mixed martial arts. So, you know, that’s why I had him in the corner for Barboza, but I mean New Mexico is far ways away from me. And my hometown is Milwaukee, my daughter is here, my family is here, my gyms are here. So that's the only reason I went out there. But I would definitely rather spar again so it's for me it's Milwaukee's around – I’m game for this one.
Damon Martin: I know you have kind of mentioned there is a little bit going into this fight and your focus is featherweight. I know, but I just want to be clear like you said your days of lightweight are not done. You do intend on going back to lightweight. And I'm just curious because now Conor is the champion of that I mean is that so, of something you'd like to pursue, you know, winning back to that title of lightweight?
Anthony Pettis: Yeah, I mean, I'm in the sport to be a champion and I think you know, challenging myself at 145 pounds is a goal, that’s why I've tried 145 pounds. I've got some work to do down here and after I get this work done down here, yeah, I got some fights that I need to avenge at 145 pounds.
Damon Martin: Awesome, thanks Anthony.
Anthony Pettis: No problem.
Operator: And ladies and gentlemen, as a reminder that is *1 to ask a question. And we will take our next question from Akhilesh Gannavarapu from The Ring Side View.
Akhilesh Gannavarapu: Hey guys, greetings from India. I have a couple of questions for Pettis to start things off. Firstly, Anthony as you just said your debut at 145 raised quite a few eyebrows when a photo of yours started making rounds during the fight week. How difficult or challenging is it for you to cut down to 145 or is it something that has just been exaggerated?
Anthony Pettis: Yeah, I know it's definitely exaggerated. I think you know the first time, I didn't prep my body as best as I could. I thought it would be a lot easier than it was. This time around, I had my nutritionist with me for the last seven weeks. I feel like I had done this the right way this time and I mean we'll see December 10th how it goes, but every weight cut is tough, I mean, no matter what, a weight cut is a weight cut, so you know, I don't feel like it's impossible for me to make that weight and it's not out of reach. I've done it once and I'd do it again December 10th, and I'll see how healthy I can get on that.
Akhilesh Gannavarapu: All right, and that you already talked about the interim title on the MMA. But what are your thoughts on getting back into the title picture where many people believe you deserve to be, especially after your impressive victory against Oliveira?
Anthony Pettis: Yeah, you know, fighting guys like Max Holloway definitely makes that case stronger, I guess. You know beating Oliveira, you know, he won one fight, and, you know, Max Holloway is the guy up there right now, and probably the next guy at a title shot at 145 pounds. That's why I put my – I set my goals on him. I want to fight Max Holloway and get that, so he would gain the fight and now here we are. Two weeks out, week and a half out from our fight.
Akhilesh Gannavarapu: All right, fantastic. I have a couple of questions for Holloway as well. Max, many feel that this fight has been long overdue for you especially considering the fact that the division was dominated for years by Jose. And that you had other perennial title contenders floating around. So how does it feel to finally get a crack at the title albeit this is just for the interim championship?
Max Holloway: Feels good. You know, but like I said, man, it is what it is you know. It's – I wasn't getting all butt-hurt about it. Understanding this is a business and it's opportunity and I'm glad I'm in the position to take it you know. Every single fight man is a new fight. You know, I go in there taking more and more going to try and get one and all. Somebody said you're having this game. Some of these people out here thinking that the old stuff in this like it ain't old (expletive), you know. So go out there prove your worth and do the damn thing, and you know that's what I get to do ,you know, come December 10.
Akhilesh Gannavarapu: So what are your thoughts on the state of the 145 pound division?
Max Holloway: It's clear man. The water was murky. Like I said before the water was very murky. Now it's super clear. After this we got a two, we got a number one contender. We get to fight for the undisputed title, so it's super clear now and we see what happens. We see what happens after December 10 and I think it clears up a lot of stuff.
Akhilesh Gannavarapu: All right and Anthony is one of the most well rounded fighters in the UFC today. So what do you make of him as an opponent and how do you see this fight play out?
Max Holloway: This guy was a champion before. He is a former champion. He defended the belt a bunch of times and he was one of the best guys in the world for a while now. So I look forward to the opportunity to be in the cage, the same cage you had a guy like that and it's time to show people that I'm one of those guys. I walk around and I tell myself that I'm the best in the world and come December 10th, I get the chance to prove that to the world.
Akhilesh Gannavarapu: Outstanding. Thank you for your time, guys.
Operator: And next, we will hear from Oscar Willis from TheMacLife.com
Oscar Willis: Hi guys. This is a question for both of you. You mentioned at the beginning of the call that this was originally scheduled for three rounds. I was just wondering how big of a difference is the extra two rounds now that you're scheduled for five?
Anthony Pettis: I fought five rounds. Go ahead Max. Go ahead.
Max Holloway: It's – as we already said we all get ready for five rounds. We don't know what's going to happen. We don’t know what's going to rise and we're just in the right place the right time. You know we're professional athletes. This is our job. This is what we do. We get ready. We get ready for everything and you're going to see two guys ready for five-rounds come December 10th.
Anthony Pettis: Yeah I think you know, the five, the extra two rounds is sort of – I think everybody wants to see this match up. We both come to bring exciting fights. We have a deep tool bag and you get an extra 10 minutes of me and Max trying to prove the case of who is better, and I think that's the fans win with that one.
Oscar Willis: Thank you. And just the second question. Obviously, your next fight will be against Jose Aldo whoever the winner is. How soon would both of you like to fight after this? Jose said around February or March for him; is that a realistic turnaround or would you prefer the – have a bit more time off? May I start with Max for that one?
Max Holloway: Yeah, you know, we’ll see it happens. You know that (expletive) got – you know, he got diagnosed with (expletive) pussyitis that he's been (expletive) having lately and whenever he wants the backseat, he can come and get it. So, we’ll see what happens, I don’t know, I got a tough task in me. I got my hands full and December 10th is all I'm focused on, and then we can worry when Jose Aldo wants a shot.
Anthony Pettis: Yeah same with me, man I'm not focused on Jose Aldo, I’m not focused on who’s got the real belt or anything. I got my task in front of me. I got a week and a half to go. I've been eating, sleeping, and drinking this fight. So like I said, that’s all I'm focused on, December 10th and once we get past that, we'll see what comes about.
Oscar Willis: Thank you. And this is just a last one to follow-up on Max. You mentioned a couple of times that you were supposed to get a fight with Jose at 205 or 206? Is there a sense of frustration that you haven’t gotten that fight?
Max Holloway: No man, you know, it’s – it is what it is, man. This guy, you know, is over here talking about fighting, this and that, and whatever blah, blah, he wants to fight, he wants to fight, (expletive) had a fight and didn’t take it. Now it’s me and Pettis and now it’s time to go out there and, you know, put on a show for the Canadians and the Toronto fans and the world, you know. It’s going to be a great night, man. Tune in December 10th and you guys are going to see some fireworks. It’s going to be an amazing night.
Oscar Willis: Okay, thank you very much.
Operator: And next, we will take a question from Jeffrey Harris from 411 Mania MMA.
Jeffrey Harris: Good afternoon everyone, and thank you for joining us and congratulations on being promoted to the main event for the interim title. For Anthony Pettis, have you seen any tricky parts of Max Holloway’s game that have made him such a dominant force at featherweight ahead of this fight?
Anthony Pettis: Yeah, most definitely, I watched a lot of his fights. You know I’m definitely a fan of the sport and you know I have seen the guy fight. He comes with an intensity and you know he has a deep tool bag. He is not just, you know, a tough guy, he has the striking, he has the flash, so I think, you know, he’s a great opponent for me and these are the type of fights that get me excited. You know that’s what – he is the type of fighter that I get to go in there and perform.
Jeffrey Harris: And for Max, what do you think of Anthony Pettis’ game as of late and what do you see going into this fight and how you two match up?
Max Holloway: Oh man, you know, it’s great man. Like I said, he is a former champion, you know. He’s got jiu-jutsu. He’s slashing too and like he said man, this is a fight. This is a fight that people wanted to see. You know it’s the fight that fans want to see and this is a fight that the fans are going to get, you know. Everything they expect, I think it’s going to happen in this fight and I’m excited to the challenge, you know, you are fighting guys like this, this guy has been – he has been the top of the heap for a long time, you know, and I get to go out there and prove my worth and come December 10th the fans are going to be the real winners.
Jeffrey Harris: And the last question for both fighters, how much does it change training camp you know to find out this close to the fight that instead of three rounds, you are going to be fighting for five rounds? Do you already prep ahead of time for a hard fight that maybe could go even longer or just radically change the camp? I mean, because we are less than two weeks out, so I’m just curious how that might change the training camp for both of you and thank you.
Anthony Pettis: Yeah, I mean it doesn’t change – it doesn’t change anything for me much at all. I mean I have been getting ready for Max Holloway the whole time. I have been studying his game. I have been studying his moves. I have been studying everything he does. So, I know this is going to be cool. I think we have been asked this question before. This is ten more extra minutes for us to prove who is the better fighter that night, and, you know, the fans are definitely going to be in for a treat with two guys that come out there and bang and does the moves that we throw and then come with the intensity that we come with, and you put on a title on the line so it’s that much more enticing for both of us.
Max Holloway: Yeah, you know what he said man, we are professionals. We are ready for everything and we get ten more extra minutes to show the world how fun a fight between me and Pettis can be. So, you know I am excited for the opportunity. I am excited to be in this stuff. You know, it’s just like the nickname, I am blessed man. I can’t wait to go out there and just get this thing done.
Operator: And next, we will take a question from Kel Dansby of Black Sports Online.
Kel Dansby: Hello, my first question is both for Max and Antony. Is there any disappointment knowing that Connor is no longer at the end of the line in the division? We’ve seen people like Nate Diaz become stars overnight by beating Conor McGregor. We’ve seen the pay check that the challengers demand when fighting him and to be honest, he is the biggest star in the sport. Is it disappointing now that people look and say Conor will never come back to the division or that you may not get the chance to prove yourself against a fighter like Conor? Max, start off with you?
Max Holloway: Oh, you know, man, I’ve been telling you guys I got Pettis in front of me. So you know, I’m not going to be thinking past him, you know. People in this sport start talking about oh, I am going to do this, I am going to do that and blah, blah, blah, and then they start stumbling. I ain’t trying to stumble. I am going for one and all, you know. The past is the past and whatever, and I got the present, you know. December 10th is the present and we got a fight and I got to get past that guy. But, at the end of the day it is what it is, we’ll see what happens. You know me – you know Pettis was a 55er and I am only turning 25 coming up this Sunday. So, you know, I am growing and stuff. So, who knows you might see me up in the higher weight class and we'll see. But like I said man, Pettis is on my radar. I want to focus on Pettis and December 10th, you got to get the damn thing done and then we can answer all of these questions.
Anthony Pettis: Yes one thing, you know. Conor McGregor, you know it is what it is you know. He has done a great deal – duty for the sport. I mean he’s definitely brought this sport to bigger light than it has ever been. But, you know before him and after him, I am still trying to fulfil my legacy of becoming a two-division world champion. You know, I’ve been at a 155 pounds, I am working my way to 145 pounds. It’s definitely happened a lot quicker than I expected but I’m game, you know, I’m ready. I have a tough guy in front of me, I am not worried about Jose Aldo or Conor McGregor, who has built has what, you know. All I’m worried about is December 10th.
Kel Dansby: One more question for each of you. We talked about the winner of this fight getting the interim title. And you know who that is, Jose Aldo is what’s next for both of you guys, not looking past each other, obviously. But is there any loss for Jose Aldo after, you know, being knocked for 13 seconds? Max for you for you saying that he is not taking the fights that have been offered, is that mystique going with Jose Aldo, the Aldo that was there was two years that dominated the division? Is there a different feel like there is a vulnerability there for whoever wins this fight coming through it?
Max Holloway: Oh, you know, I don’t know man. I ain’t friends with the guy. I don’t follow him on social media or whatever. I don’t talk to him. I don’t see the stuff he posts or have a conversation with the guy. So, who knows what’s going through his mind, only his coaches and only himself, you know. But, we’ll see what happens, you know, after December 10th and we’ll find out, you know. We’re going to go out there and you guys are going to get a great fight and after December 10th we will see what’s up with that guy’s mind.
Anthony Pettis: Yeah, I mean for me Jose Aldo is still Jose Aldo, man. I mean, everybody loses, even the greatest lose sometimes. He lost you know 13 seconds with Conor McGregor. He still has the history that he had. He was a dominant champ for a long time. Now he is not – all of a sudden he sucks because he got knocked out by Conor McGregor. So, for me it’s just whoever is next in line and becoming the champion of two weight classes, that’s where I am at, that’s my goal, that’s my passion, my drive right now. And, whoever it is, you know, I’ll figure that out after this fight.
Kel Dansby: Thanks to both of you guys. Good luck on the 10th. Thank you.
Anthony Pettis: Thanks man.
Max Holloway: Thank you.
Operator: Damon Martin of Fox Sports has our next question.
Damon Martin: Yeah, a couple of questions for Max. Max, I’m just kind of curious you know now that you’ve been preparing for Anthony for a while, what do you think of his fight with Charles Oliveira?
Max Holloway: Oh, you know, I ain’t judging him. You know I ain’t judging him off his last fight, the weight cut can be hard, you know. He was at 55 forever, you know, and in the weight cut and the trials and error. So, you know, like I said before man, I’m studying everybody man. I ain’t judging him of that last fight. I’m getting ready for the best Anthony Pettis in the world you know, and that’s where I am stuck. And you know I know he is getting ready for the best Holloway. You know he is going to run into a (expletive) in Max Holloway come December 10th. So, I ain’t judging him off of that one fight man, that would be silly.
Damon Martin: You know, when you look at the stylistic of the match, I mean both of you guys are the best known as strikers and kind of, knockout artists. But, is it too hard to really break it down that simple and say that this is going to be a standup fight? Do you look at this fight and you know believe that you could submit him, believe that you could outwrestle him? And where, you know, do you feel like you are better than him everywhere?
Max Holloway: Yeah, you know you got to believe in yourself and that’s what you got to have. You know if you don’t have self-belief then who the (expletive) is going to believe in you? Yeah everybody see these flashy moves and this and that and our striking, but don’t get it wrong, don’t get it twisted. We are mixed martial artists, you know, it’s not a kickboxing match. It’s not a jiu-jitsu match. It’s not a wrestling match. We do it all, you know. And, I like to say we are both at the top of our divisions for a reason, you know, because we know how to do it all and, you know, I am getting ready for a fight, you know. I am getting in there, you know, we'll get the damn thing done and I think man, tune in December 10th, man. It’s going to be an amazing fight and the fans are going to be in for a treat.
Damon Martin: And the last question for you, Max. You know, this is, not to swing back around to the Conor McGregor thing. But my question is this, when Georges St-Pierre left welterweight, when he retired or walked away from the sport, you know you expected him to kind of hung around that division for a little while, and I think you know Robbie Lawler going out there and having some big wins, it kind of erased him a little bit from the memory. What do you feel like is – you know what’s it going to take for this division to move forward and kind of forget about Conor or kind of move past Conor?
Max Holloway: We got to go, you know, we got to go out there and do our damn things you know. It is what it is, you know. Conor set the bar and I am here to beat it, you know, I want to beat it, that’s the bar we are going to beat, that’s the bar I am reaching for. You know, I have all intentions of smashing it, so we’ll see what happens, you know. First things first. First step is December 10th and that’s what we’re going to do.
Damon Martin: Yeah, the same question for you, Anthony. Just because you know obviously you come from the lightweight division, you know for a long time everyone talked about BJ Penn in that division. How was it for you? What is it going to take for the featherweights to move on to where we are asking you questions about Conor McGregor or are we always going to ask you questions about Conor McGregor?
Anthony Pettis: Yeah, I mean when there is a guy like that around in the sport and he’s still fighting, of course he is still going to be relevant. You know, I know what it takes to make that weight cut down to 145 pounds. You know, Conor, I think, is very similar to my body size and my length and my reach. I think it’s a tough lifestyle change to get down to 145 pounds. I don’t think with him holding that lightweight belt, it doesn’t really make sense to him to keep cutting down a to 145 pounds. It’s not healthy. So, I think you know until, you know – until he starts doing what he is going to to be the lightweight or figure out what’s going to happen, maybe if he doesn’t win the lightweight, he moves back down to 45, who knows what happens with Conor McGregor. But, you know for a guy like him that is still fighting, you know, you definitely feel relevant.
Damon Martin: Awesome, thanks guys.
Operator: And we will take over final question from Jordan Walburger of 104.9 The Horn.
Jordan Walburger: Hi guys, thanks a lot for the time. Anthony for you first. Anthony this is your second cut back down to featherweight. You have also had some issues obviously with the house and the fire with the cars. You know, Daniel Cormier gets injured last week and another sort of concern that they might cancel the card all together. How are you kind of doing mentally and any of the things present a challenge to you, you know so close to this fight?
Anthony Pettis: You know my whole life has been a rollercoaster. Highest highs, lowest lows, and the car situation, no idea what it was about, you know, I do not feel unsafe in my hometown. I definitely made the necessary moves to make sure my family is safe. But, you know, it is what it is. I mean no one really made threats, I didn't know what to think of it. So, it’s not like it really messed me up mentally or I’m going to watch out for me doing this and doing this. Like, I feel just like I felt like before in Milwaukee. I got business as usual. I got family here. So that really didn't do anything to me. And the DC situation, yeah you know you never know what the UFC is going to do. You know you have seen cards get canceled before. You’ve seen things happen, but, you know, it didn't work out that way, you know. We got an interim title. I got a though opponent in front of me and we are the main event, so it’s more like Merry Christmas to me.
Jordan Walburger: Sure, thank you for that. And just a last question and this is for both you know. I will go to Max first. And this is just a quick follow-up on Kel’s questions earlier. There has been a lot of criticism on using the term undisputed. This call started off by calling Aldo the undisputed champion. Max, do you consider Aldo the undisputed champion based on kind of what happened you know 11 months ago with him and Conor and just overall kind of how this whole situation has been handled?
Max Holloway: Oh man, UFC giving the title. The title says undisputed. You can’t deny him, you know. And, it is what it is, he got the belt you know. I need to go out there December 10th, handle business, and get what’s mine and go get that undisputed one. So, you know, it is what it is, I ain’t no hater of the guy. You know, he got the damn thing. He had the interim, they gave him the real one now and that’s what it is. You know, everybody is crying about this and about that. It’s not going to change it, why are all you guys whining, you know, (expletive) stop whining and do something with your own life and move on.
Jordan Walburger: Alright, thanks. Anthony, same question to you?
Anthony Pettis: Yeah, I think, you know, Jose Aldo is you know like I said before, he’s had a great career before Conor McGregor. There’s a reason why Conor let this happen. If Conor really wanted to fight at 145 pounds again, he would have done it and defended his title. So, you know, it’s not up to Jose Aldo, it’s not up to Conor McGregor, it’s not up to me or Max, who the undisputed champ is. So, we are just doing our job. We are going out there, fighting these fights, and then trying to prove to everyone that we are best in the world. And, if that guy is there and the opportunity is there, you know, you better believe all of us would take it.
Jordan Walburger: I understand. Hey, thanks guys for the time and good luck next week.
Anthony Pettis: Thank you.
Max Holloway: Thank you.
Operator: And that does conclude our question-and-answer session for today. I would like to turn it back over to our host.
Matt Radmanovich: Thank you, and thank you to Max Holloway, and thank you to Anthony Pettis. Just a reminder, UFC 206 Holloway versus Pettis is next Saturday, live from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Canada on Pay-Per-View. And, for those media that are accredited, the PR and event schedule will be coming out later this week. So keep an eye on it, and thank you again for your time today. Have a good day.
Operator: And ladies and gentlemen, this does conclude today’s conference. Thank you for your participation. You may now disconnect.
