The UFC’s return to Sin City was a fairly successful one this past Saturday night as the Lightweight division’s self-proclaimed Boogeyman, Tony Ferguson, claimed the Interim UFC 155-pound strap by finishing Kevin Lee.

Elsewhere, ‘Mighty Mouse’ broke Anderson Silva’s record for most consecutive UFC title defences by defending his strap for the 11th time inside the Octagon. Furthermore, in lieu of Derrick Lewis’s last minute back injury and replacement Walt Harris stepping in to save the main card matchup; former Heavyweight Champion Fabricio Werdum reminded us how lethal he is on the mat.

Besides, the card also featured several other intriguing matchups with loads of action. So, without further ado, here are the complete results for UFC 216:

Main Card

#1 Tony Ferguson vs Kevin Lee

Tony Ferguson is now the Interim UFC Lightweight Champion

Kevin Lee did exceptionally well in the early going and much like Ferguson’s recent fight against Edson Barboza, Lee had tremendous success in tagging ‘El Cucuy’ while the Mexican Boogeyman entered boxing range.

However, Ferguson’s otherworldly chin and terrifyingly frenetic pace seemed to overwhelm Lee towards the end of Round 2, and got the latter into big trouble on the feet as well as the mat in Round 3. Tony slapped on a Triangle on Kevin and sealed the deal, taking home Interim UFC title gold.

Result: Tony Ferguson def. Kevin Lee via Submission (Triangle Choke) (Round 3, 4:02)

#2 Demetrius Johnson vs Ray Borg

Demetrius Johnson thoroughly dominated Ray Borg throughout the duration of their UFC Flyweight Championship matchup, and then, come Round 5, pulled off one of the craziest submissions you’ll ever see in your life—a Flying Back Suplex-turned-Armbar.

DJ now holds the UFC record for most consecutive title defences, surpassing Anderson Silva’s legendary 10-fight unbeaten championship streak.

Result: Demetrius Johnson def. Ray Borg via Submission (Armbar) (Round 5, 3:15)

#3 Fabricio Werdum vs Walt Harris

Fabricio Werdum put on an absolute BJJ clinic on Harris; taking the latter to the mat, mounting him and then finishing the bout with a beautiful Armbar.

Given the fact that Werdum—in the eyes of several MMA pundits and fans—should have gotten the judges’ nod in his previous fight against Alistair Overeem; the UFC matching up Fabricio for a rematch with Stipe Miocic doesn’t seem out of the realm of possibility.

Result: Fabricio Werdum def. Walt Harris via Submission (Armbar) (Round 1, 1:05)

#4 Mara Romero Borella vs Kalindra Faria

Borella showed excellent poise both on the feet as well as the mat; dominating Faria in every aspect of the game.

Borella capped off a technical display of her overall MMA skills, by submitting Faria with a Rear Naked Choke in the very first round.

Result: Mara Romero Borella def. Kalindra Faria via Submission (Rear Naked Choke) (Round 1, 2:54)

#5 Beneil Dariush vs Evan Dunham

Beneil Dariush and Evan Dunham put on an absolute show for the fans in attendance.

Dariush had Dunham badly hurt in the initial phase of their match, and the fight almost seemed done with, before the latter got a second wind and ended strong; forcing the judges to put forth scores which ruled the bout a Majority Draw.

Result: Beneil Dariush vs Evan Dunham ruled a Majority Draw (29-28, 28-28, 28-28)
