UFC 236 Exclusives: Eryk Anders reveals the condition of his hand before UFC 236
UFC 236 promises to be one of the biggest events of the UFC in recent times. Two Interim Championship fights are scheduled for the show, with each having the ability to steal the show.
UFC 236 will have Max Holloway face Dustin Poirier in the main event of the night for the UFC Interim Lightweight Title, while, as the co-main event, Israel Adesanya will be facing Kelvin Gastelum for the Interim UFC Middleweight Title.
The fight will be taking place between Eryk Anders and Khalil Rountree Jr. Rountree is coming off a loss to promotion newcomer Johnny Walker, and he will be hoping to establish himself with a bounce-back win against Eryk Anders. Anders himself is coming off two losses, and he broke his hand in his last fight.

Q. How’s your hand ahead of this fight, considering it’s only been four months since surgery?
EA: My hand is great, you know I have been training and hitting hard, it’s ready and good to go.
Q. Do you feel like the extra time you have had this time to prepare for a Light Heavyweight bout will help you?
EA: Yes, absolutely, this fight was initially offered for UFC in Nashville but it would have been a little sooner than I would have liked, so we look to move it back a few weeks so I could get a full camp and train properly for this weight class.
Q. What has the weight gain journey been like for you?
EA: I really don’t have to cut much weight, I am walking around near to my natural weight. I feel good so you know, feel good – fight good
