Kamaru Usman addresses UFC 310 rumor

After Belal Muhammad pulled out of UFC 310 due to an infected toe, it was rumored that Kamaru Usman would step up to fight Shavkat Rakhmonov on short notice. Colby Covington also hinted at the same in a recent interview with Submission Radio.

Usman broke silence on the matter on the latest episode of his Pound 4 Pound podcast, co-featuring Henry Cejudo. The former UFC welterweight champion said:

"If the UFC is going to call whom they think is legit, tough enough, and man enough... crazy enough to step in there on short notice and go out there and possibly shock the world."

Usman added:

"If they do give me a call, I’m going to answer the call. We’ll get a couple of things straight, and if we got to do it, we got to do it. I don’t shy away from that - I’ve done it on seven days’ notice... six days’ notice, done it on eight days’ notice."

Jon Jones would rather fight Alex Pereira than Tom Aspinall

With UFC 309 only a week away, Jon Jones revealed that he would like to fight Alex Pereira next, not Tom Aspinall.

Aspinall, who is the interim UFC heavyweight champion, has been pushing for an undisputed title fight against Jon Jones for a year. However, 'Bones' has shown little to no interest in the fight throughout, undermining Aspinall's feat every time.

During a recent interview, veteran journalist Kevin Iole asked Jones if his next title defense would be against the Brit if he wins against Stipe Miocic on Nov. 16. Jones answered:

"More than likely not. I feel like Tom Aspinall is - I don't want to say 'nobody' - but he just hasn't proven anything. He hasn't done anything. And I understand that I mean, he won his belt against Sergei [Pavlovich]. Sergei just got slaughtered by someone else so it's like, I'm not here to gamble someone else making a name off of me.

Jones went on to say that the only UFC fight after Miocic that would make sense for him financially and legacy-wise was Alex Pereira.

Joe Rogan speaks on the consequences of Donald Trump's re-election

What does Donald Trump's comeback to the White House as the 47th President of the United States mean for Americans? Joe Rogan recently shared his two pence on the matter in an episode of his podcast.

The UFC commentator stated during The Joe Rogan Experience (#2225) that he believes Trump has the opportunity to make some "real change" in the socio-political landscape:

"Donald Trump, as the messenger, was so polarized that people lost what's really going on just based on who this guy is... You elected that guy. But along with that, now you get RFK Jr., you get Tulsi Gabbard, you get Elon Musk, and you get J.D. Vance. You get brilliant people who aren't ideologically captured - two of them used to be Democrats."

Rogan continued:

"This is like one of the first times ever where there's a real chance to make a real tangible change that's gonna be for the good of everybody... Now it's time to unite everybody."
