MMA coach Trevor Wittman accused of breaking NDA
Veteran MMA coach Trevor Wittman, known for mentoring top UFC fighters like Kamaru Usman, Justin Gaethje, and Rose Namajunas, has allegedly violated a business agreement. He is accused of breaking an NDA deal with Grodex, a company specializing in gloves and other MMA gear.
The son of Grodex's founder claimed that Wittman spent five months "closely working" with the company after signing the NDA. According to his allegations, Wittman gained in-depth knowledge about the designs and engineering of Grodex products and used this knowledge to launch his own company, ONX, a brand widely considered a top-notch option in MMA training gear.
Grodex is now asking influential figures, including UFC commentator Joe Rogan, for help with the matter. Fans were divided in their reactions, with some taking Grodex's side and others dismissing the allegations as a lie.
Joe Rogan shares "crazy" Donald Trump story heard from Dana White
Joe Rogan shared a wild election-day story about President-elect Donald Trump that he had heard from UFC CEO Dana White. He told JRE guest Theo Von on the latest episode (#2226) that Trump spent three days without any sleep:
"You wanna hear something crazy? Trump, at the day of the election, Dana White told me he'd been up for 72 hours. I go, 'How is that possible?' He goes, 'Dude, he's a freak.' It's so weird."
White recently shared yet another not-so-healthy habit of his close friend. He told Tucker Carlson that Trump simply does not drink water and thrives long hours only on "Big Macs, Mikleyways, and Cokes."
Teammate shares Islam Makhachev's severe illness before big UFC fight
Islam Makhachev's teammate Shamil Zavurov, who was helping Islam Makhachev warm up for the 2019 fight against Arman Tsarukyan at UFC Fight Night 149: Alistair Overeem vs. Aleksei Oleynik, recently shared some interesting insight.
Zavurov told Russian media outlet Ushatayka that Makhachev was alarmingly ill while fighting Tsarukyan and threw up right afterward. He looked so pale before the fight that it worried Khabib's father, the late Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov.
Zavurov said:
"I was the one who was warming Islam [Makhachev] up [for the fight] and the late Abdulmanap said to him, 'I don't like the way you look.' Islam was very pale. I was wrestling with Islam, getting him ready for the fight and he told me that he wasn't feeling good. But he was like, 'it's ok, when I'm in the cage, it will be better'. But he was really pale, I remember that. And after the fight, he ran back to the locker room and was throwing up for a good five minutes.''
