Cyborg dropping to 140 for next fight, Sonnen wants to fight Barnett in Metamoris

‘Cyborg’ wants to drop down to 140 and retire ‘Rowdy’

- The fight that every MMA fan has been longing for in forever might finally be just down the line, as Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino will finally drop down to 140 for her next Invicta fight.

The Invicta Featherweight champion has made it clear that she is dropping to Bantamweight to end all speculation and retire Ronda Rousey for good. The Invicta FC president Shannon Knapp announced at the “Evinger vs Kianzad” press conference that Cyborg would we make her 140-pound debut later this year and her opponent would be named soon.

Rousey is supposed to face Holly Holm next in November and then take some time out to film ‘Road House’ in 2016. That means Cyborg would have to fight against other opponents meanwhile until she gets the most anticipated Women’s Bantamweight fight in MMA history. Let’s hope she cuts 140 and is the same Cyborg we are used to seeing.

- UFC veteran and retired Middleweight contender Chael Sonnen has shown a desire to get back to Metamoris and has already set his sight on Josh Barnett. In a recent interview with Submission Radio, he has already paired himself with Josh ‘The Warmaster’ Barnett and says he would beat Barnett hands down without any trouble. This is what Sonnen said:

"I'll even give you gentlemen a prediction: Sonnen wins. I'm going to take his fat a** down and he will never get up. And let him know I said that. I'm going to take Josh down and then I'm going to whisper in his ear, 'welcome to the next 20 minutes of your life'."

Sonnen seems to be wanting to return to the Metamoris banner and by the individual records of both under the submission grappling league, Barnett holds an edge over ‘The American Gangster’. The confidence of Sonnen cannot be undermined, but ‘The Warmaster’s” record at Metamoris is better that Sonnen. Barnett first has to finish his UFC commitments at UFC Fight Night 75 in Japan.
