"She is being brainwashed" - Alistair Overeem on his transgender kid
Alistair Overeem refuses to acknowledge his transgender kid as a "he". His 18-year-old, Storm, who was assigned female at birth, identifies as a transgender man, according to the former UFC star. But he believes it is a result of being brainwashed by social media.
Appearing on JAXXON Podcast, the fighter said:
"There is a problem with the oldest though, she thinks she is my son... She is all into this woke nonsense. If it was not sad, it would be funny actually. So why? Addicted to her phone, she is being brainwashed basically, six-seven-eight hours a day, [with ideas like] how you feel you are, you can be what you want to be... This extremist left."
Overeem added:
"Patience, compassion, learning in that department, but I'm not going to call her a "he". That's just not [in me]. I'm a fighter. I will always fight. I'm not going to go into this, I just don't believe that."
Conor McGregor wins huge bets on Spain and Argentina's wins
Conor McGregor had bet €100,000 (approx. $109,000) on Spain winning the Euro finals 3-1 against England and stood to win €2 million ($2.18 million). He lost that bet since Spain outclassed the Brits by 2-1. However, McGregor still managed to win a little over $1 million on Spain becoming the champions.
Hours later, he made another $1,003,750 on Argentina sweeping the Copa America finals with Lautaro Martinez netting the ball at the 122-minute mark. Along with the $1.6 million he made on Nate Diaz beating Jorge Masvidal, McGregor earned nearly $4.5 million this past week, which is still somehow only a fraction of what his net worth is.
Andrew Tate believes the Donald Trump shooting was a coup
Andrew Tate believes the assassination attempt on Donald Trump's life is an inside job and so do many of his followers. Since the incident took place on Saturday in Butler, Pennsylvania, the public has given varied opinions on the matter. Some say it was staged by the Republicans themselves for sympathy, while others claim it was a coup d'état.
Tate belongs to the latter category. In a tweet following the unfortunate series of events, Tate said:
"They found an idiot. They let him on the roof. They let him set up a rifle. They ignored the warnings from the crowd about this man with a gun aimed at the president. They let him take shots at Trump. When trump fell down they took him out before he could talk. Coup."
Several fans commented in agreement. One wrote, "It's an insider job alright." Another said, "He had FEMALE bodyguards. They were trying to get him killed." A third said, Trump shouldn’t trust the Secret Service at all. He should use Private security."
Many MMA stars, including Dana White and Conor McGregor, have also reacted to the incident.
Jake Paul eyes cruiserweight world championship
Jake Paul believes he has accomplished all that he set out to do in boxing and now only one goal remains to be attained - a world championship.
Speaking with DAZN Boxing ahead of a fight against Mike Perry, Paul charted his future steps in the sport:
"I'm here to become a world champion. I've done everything else that I wanted to do in boxing. I've already exceeded my own expectations so that's a relief. The last and final goal I have in the sport - I'll be the cruiserweight world champion."
As of now, Paul is not a ranked boxer. He was promised a WBC cruiserweight ranking if he could beat Tommy Fury but a split decision loss impeded those plans.
Paul fights Perry on July 20 at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, United States. The card can be streamed on DAZN.
