UFC middleweight Brendan Allen shares his prediction for the upcoming Dricus du Plessis vs. Robert Whittaker
UFC middleweight contender Brendan Allen recently shared his prediction for the highly anticipated matchup between Dricus du Plessis and Robert Whittaker. Du Plessis is preparing to face Whittaker in what promises to be the toughest fight of his career.
During a recent interview, Allen didn't hold back in expressing his opinion about du Plessis. He referred to the South African fighter as "the luckiest fighter in the UFC," pointing out that in his first two fights, du Plessis seemed to be on the verge of defeat before landing a decisive shot to secure victory.
Allen acknowledged that du Plessis might prove him wrong and deliver another stunning knockout, but he personally doesn't believe it will happen.
The rising star then went on to share his belief that Whittaker possesses superior skills in all aspects of the game, having faced some of the best fighters in the world. Allen described Whittaker as a tricky opponent to figure out and expressed doubt about du Plessis' ability.
In his assessment, Allen suggested that du Plessis lacks the intelligence to decipher Whittaker's style and the necessary attributes to defeat him.
"He's so tricky to figure out and I don't think Dricus is smart enough to be able to figure that out and I don't think he has the attributes to beat him... He's got power, anyone can knock anyone out."
