UFC News: Conor McGregor bashes new United States President
The big story in the United States is the election of celebrity Donald J. Trump being elected to serve as the next President.
UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor was asked his thoughts in an interview by MMA Mania, on the election, to which the Irishman stated that he didn’t believe that either candidate would bring actual change to the USA, Conor was quoted as saying:
"I just could not give a bullocks ... all due respect, the whole thing is just weird to me, I don't think whoever wins, anything's gonna change. I don't think either of those two contenders have any power in anything, anyway. But whatever, it is what it is."
As for McGregor, he has the opportunity to make a huge change to the UFC if he is able to get past Eddie Alvarez this weekend, as he would become the first fighter in UFC history to hold two titles in different weight classes simultaneously.

It won’t be an easy task, however, as his opponent, Alvarez is coming off of an amazing first round knockout victory over then-champion Rafael dos Anjos in their UFC Fight Night 90 clash in July, in which ‘The Underground King’ secured his first UFC title.
McGregor is coming off of a two fight tenure in the UFC’s welterweight division in his bad blood rivalry with Nate Diaz, after the Stockton Native handed ‘The Notorious One’ his first loss under the UFC’s banner.
McGregor avenged this loss in the highly anticipated rematch at UFC 202 in August, by taking home a majority decision win after 25 minutes of pure war.
Now McGregor and Alvarez will clash with one another in the main event of UFC 205 live on pay-per-view (PPV), from the Madison Square Garden arena in New York City on November 12, 2016.
