UFC News: Conor McGregor reportedly offered a role in 'Game of Thrones'

The Irishman might make an appearance in one of the remaining two seasons of ‘Game of Thrones’.

There seems to be no limit to Conor McGregor’s unpredictability, both inside and outside the cage. The Notorious One has always claimed himself to be the king of the UFC, and if the reports are to be believed, the Irish king might just make an appearance in the mystical world of ‘Game of Thrones’.

According to North Ireland tabloid The Sunday Life, Conor McGregor has been offered a role in the record-breaking TV series ‘Game of Thrones’.

“It’s been agreed that McGregor will appear in one of the remaining two seasons of ‘Game of Thrones.

He was headhunted as it were by HBO, as one of the ‘Game of Thrones’ directors is a huge UFC fan. They believed that he would be a perfect fit for the show.”

While McGregor has taken a break from fighting due to his impending fatherhood, he has never been hesitant in pursuing endeavours outside the Octagon, he has been pressing for a fight with the undefeated boxer, Floyd Mayweather.

The Irishman recently tried his hands at acting and featured in ‘Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’. From the looks of it, the transition to the mystical world of Dragons and White Walkers might not be that big a deal for the Irish King.

This hasn’t been the first time that McGregor has been linked with ‘Game of Thrones’. Last year, the Notorious One was seen sparring with Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, the strongman who plays ‘The Mountain’ in Game of Thrones. The viral video set the internet ablaze and received nearly 23 million views:

UFC President Dana White had recently announced that Conor McGregor will be taking a break from the Octagon and wouldn’t be fighting until May 2017. A role in the world famous TV series would be a great way for him to utilise his break before he welcomes his child to the world.

Although there is no information regarding the role Conor would be playing, it would be extremely interesting to see him venture into the world created by George RR Martin. He has the looks, he has the beard and he has the charisma to make him a perfect fit in the ‘Game of Thrones’.

“If this was a different time, I would invade his favela on horseback, and would kill anyone who wasn't fit to work, but we're in a new time, so I'll whoop his a*s instead. Conor once said in of his memorable insults to Jose Aldo and from what it looks like, we might  indeed get to see Conor McGrgor ride on a horseback and destroy villages.
