UFC News: Criminals who vandalized Anthony Pettis' car arrested

Former UFC lightweight champion Anthony ‘Showtime’ Pettis’ car vandilizer has been arrested, and the perpetrator is only 13 years old.

Earlier this year former UFC lightweight champion Anthony ‘Showtime’ Pettis’ three cars where set ablaze and exploded outside of his Milwaukee, Wisconsin home, marking the second time he has been the victim of a crime involving his vehicle.

According to a report from FOX 6 Now, the person responsible for vandalizing the former UFC champ’s cars is only 13 years old, and ‘Showtime’ wants to use his local fame to try and fix the ‘issues’ with the local youth:

"It`s scary to see where the youth is at,” Pettis said. “I feel there has to be some changes and I think I`m in a position where I can make some changes so it`s up to me to go out there. Instead of how do I replace my belongings, how do I make it right for everybody else?"

Pettis is a former UFC lightweight champion who was once viewed as one of the most feared fighters the sport had to offer, however, once dethroned by the now former champ Rafael dos Anjos, ‘Showtime’ was viewed as a little more human as a few holes were pointed out in his game.

Following the title loss Pettis would then suffer a string of two more losses against top tier competition such as Eddie Alvarez and Edson Barboza, before making the decision to jump down to 145 pounds.

Now that Pettis has successfully got a win in the UFC’s featherweight division against Charles Oliveira, he will be competing for the division’s interim title against Max Holloway this weekend with a shot at a bout with Jose Aldo on the line.

If Pettis is successful in his venture against Holloway, fans will be granted a long awaited super fight between Pettis and Aldo that had failed to come to fruition years ago when both men reigned as champions in their respective weight classes.
