UFC News: Eddie Alvarez taunts Conor McGregor for his training methods!
The Notorious Conor McGregor stands out from the rest of the UFC roster in many aspects. One of them is his unique training regimen. Often, he trains and spends time with his “movement’ coach Ido Portal working on his body movements and flexibility.
The featherweight champ had given a sneak peak of his training on Instagram to which his next opponent, Eddie Alvarez had something funny to say about.
You are about to be introduced to a method of training that will lead you to require multiple opponents in constant rotation, just to keep up with you. You have no idea about this life. Something big is coming. #TheMacLife
The UFC Lightweight Champion Alvarez evidently thinks less about McGregor’s training regime and expressed his thoughts via Twitter:
Ever since the fight was announced the two have been taking every opportunity to throw a taunt at each other. The duo will fight at UFC 205 in the world’s most famous arena, Madison Square Garden in New York.
McGregor lost to Nate Diaz at UFC 196, and since then he has been working intensely on his cardio. He accepted the loss and moved on like a warrior and later defeated the Stockton native via decision victory in their rematch at UFC 202.
But even during their second fight McGregor, who isn't used to five-round fights as he finishes most of his opponents in round one, struggled with exhaustion in later rounds.
Eddie Alvarez is highly experienced and has won many accolades. Popularly known for being a two-time Bellator FC Lightweight Champion, he is now the UFC Lightweight Champion. His recent altercation with Conor McGregor suggested that The Notorious wouldn’t get under the American’s skin.
But Alvarez did provoke McGregor when he said the Irishman won’t get the ‘big boy’s belt’.
