UFC News: Johnny Walker calls out former UFC Middleweight Champion for his next fight
At UFC 244, one of UFC's fastest rising stars in the form of Johnny Walker suffered his first loss in the Octagon when he was stopped by Corey Anderson in brutal fashion, as he knocked out Walker within 2 minutes of the very first round.
Despite the loss, Walker still remains pretty confident and recently took to Instagram in order to call out former UFC Middleweight Champion Chris Weidman, who recently moved up to the UFC Light Heavyweight Division.
Johnny Walker calls out Chris Weidman
While recently speaking to Ariel Helwani on The MMA Show, Chris Weidman claimed that despite his recent loss to #1 contender Dominick Reyes about six weeks ago, the former UFC Middleweight Champion remains healthy and is looking forward to getting back into the Octagon around February or March of 2020.
Walker, who himself is on the back of a loss, responded to Weidman by asking him to pick a date for the fight.
Weidman responds back
The former middleweight kingpin also wasted little time in responding back to Walker, as he tweeted out thanking Walker for the call-out and stated that he will let him know what he wants to do next inside the Octagon.
