UFC News: Jon Jones set to defend Light Heavyweight Title against Dominick Reyes at UFC 247
As officially announced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on various social media platforms, reigning UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones will be making his return to the Octagon in early 2020, as 'Bones' is all set to defend his title against one of the fastest rising stars in the division, Dominick Reyes.
Dominick Reyes' rise in the Light Heavyweight Division
Since making his UFC debut in 2017 as part of UFC Fight Night 112, Dominick Reyes has been on an unbeaten run in the promotion, as 'The Devastator' has compiled a winning streak of 6 in the Octagon so far.
Reyes, who has already defeated the likes Ovince Saint Preux, Jared Cannonier, and Volkan Oezdemir in the UFC, last fought in the Octagon at UFC on ESPN 6 when he finished off former UFC Middleweight Champion Chris Weidman via first-round technical knockout.
Jon Jones vs Dominick Reyes officially confirmed
Current UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones has been on a dominant run in the promotion since winning back the 205-pound title, as 'Bones' has successfully defended his title against the likes of Alexander Gustafsson, Anthony Smith, and very recently put away Thiago Santos at UFC 239.
The two-time UFC Light Heavyweight Champion will be putting his title on the line once again, as Jones is now all set to get back into the Octagon against the unbeaten Dom Reyes on the 8th of February in Houston.
