There was a lot of outrage over Jorge Masvidal's fight against Nate Diaz at UFC 244 and the way it ended. Due to the controversial doctor stoppage, Masvidal instantly went to Diaz and told him that they'd run it back.

However, since then, cooler heads have prevailed. For one, in the post-fight press conference, Dana White said that Diaz's cut looked far worse backstage than it did in the Octagon. When asked about running back the match, White's tone suggested that he wasn't too keen on it, having different plans for Masvidal.

Gamebred is now enjoying fame at a level that he's never experienced before and it seems as though multiple doors have opened up for him, whether it's a super fight against Conor McGregor, a title shot at Welterweight, or more.

When interviewed by LowKickMMA, ATT owner Dan Lambert gave his thoughts on the finish of UFC 244 and revealed why he thinks Masvidal was robbed in the fight:

“I mean, as a fan, I would’ve liked to have seen it go longer just like anybody would have. I think Jorge is the one who got robbed on that stoppage, because I think it stopped Jorge from getting the opportunity from getting the finish."

He said that the fight wasn't going to go any different and that Masvidal's one-sided dominance would inevitably lead to a finish:

“Jorge wanted to finish the fight. I know Nate is a beast and he wasn’t ever going to quit, but I don’t think that fight was turning anytime soon in a fourth or fifth, sixth or seventh, or 90th round. I think Jorge was going to keep doing what Jorge did until that fight was over.”

Lambert stated that he would personally like to see Masvidal fight Conor McGregor for the big payday over a title shot but fully expects Nick Diaz as his next opponent. Masvidal stated that his next opponent will be the one who fetches him the biggest paycheque.
