UFC News: London event confirmed for 2020; Darren Till to possibly headline against former Champion
UFC is set to make their return to the English capital on March 21, 2020. The venue of the event will be The O2 Arena.
On Friday morning, UFC confirmed the date on Twitter. The last time they were in London was earlier this year, on March 17.
Tickets to go live in January end
The promotion revealed the confirmed news from their UFC Europe twitter handle and also provided the link to register for early tickets.
Tickets for the general public will be available from January 31. Those who register for early access will be able to buy it online from January 29. Fight Club tickets will be live from January 30.
Rumor says Darren Till vs. Robert Whittaker could be the fight that headlines the event. Till, who is coming off the back of a win against Kelvin Gastelum, can definitely use another victory to further gain back the love of the fans as well as his confidence, both of which he once lost.
What happened at UFC London?
Till was there in the main event the last time as well, but went on to lose the bout against Jorge Masvidal in a second-round knockout and his career took a southward turn after that till the win against Gastelum. Leon Edwards and Gunnar Nelson featured in the co-main event. Masvidal vs. Till won the Fight of the Night, while Masvidal himself along with Dan Ige won Performance of the Night bonuses.
