UFC News: Holloway wants Aldo badly, demands the Interim Featherweight Champion back in the cage

The Blessed One!

Amidst all the controversy in the UFC, the most intriguing is that, of Interim Featherweight Champion, Jose Aldo, and his constant battle with the company. The Brazillian has been asking for a rematch against Conor McGregor for a long time, to no avail.

Furthermore, the UFC has offered him other options, but Aldo seems reluctant. However, Max Holloway, who is on an impressive win streak, feels Aldo should get his act together and get back in the cage.

Holloway is on an impressive run in the UFC with a nine-fight win streak. Recently, the 24-year-old has been vocal in the past about being the legitimate contender to Aldo’s belt. However, the Hawaiin says he is ready to fight anyone. He expressed this desire in an interview with MMAjunkie Radio:

“I’m a fighter, man; I just want to fight, I don’t care who it is or whatever. I can’t change what they personally feel, but like I said, I got that vaccine for that (expletive)-it is that’s been going around with all these people running away. They got to let me know when they’re ready to fight.”

He continued by expressing his desire to fight McGregor, but later he stated that he currently preferred Aldo:

“In a perfect world, if I could fight Conor, that would be great. But the person that’s really got my blood boiling is Jose Aldo. He’s (expletive) talking bubbles. I don’t know what he’s talking. I think Conor hit him too hard in that fight, so he’s losing his mind. That guy’s got to get his (expletive) together, get his ass in the cage and do less talking and more fighting.”

Holloway also pointed out Aldo’s unprofessionalism in withdrawing himself from main events on multiple occasions. He said, “I respect him, I respect him a lot, but at the end of the day, people keep forgetting how much times he left the UFC high and dry in a main-event slot or a co-main event slot that he was supposed to be because of injuries.”

I know injuries sucks, but it happens more than (expletive) a couple of times, and he had to pull out due to injury or whatever or personal reasons. It is what it is. They remember that kind of stuff,” he said.

It appears that the ‘Blessed’ one realises the complication in securing a title fight with McGregor, and is ready to settle for the next best thing that would help his career.
