UFC News: McGregor wants a $100 million to box Floyd Mayweather.
The battle of words has once again restarted between the two-divisional UFC champion, Conor McGregor, and undefeated former boxing champion, Floyd Mayweather. After McGregor’s victory over Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205, The Notorious one has once again shown interest in the super fight.
Amidst all the celebration, McGregor took the privilege of commenting on Mayweather:
“Floyd’s not ready for this. Much respect to Floyd, he’s a solid businessman, what he has been able to do, he is a fucking animal. But as far as real fighting, as far as true real unarmed combat, Floyd don’t want none of this. He does not want none of this.”
McGregor respects his rival from boxing as a business man but not as a fighter. Furthermore, he also demanded his term for the fight if the two were to participate in a boxing match as Mayweather’s desired.
“People have asked him, he wants it in the boxing rules,” The Notorious one continued according to Bjpenn.com. “He wants a boxing match, he doesn’t want a fight. Give Floyd a shout, tell him I’m coming. I want $100 million cash to fight you in the boxing rules because he’s afraid of a real fight.”
Mayweather was also asked by a reporter on his thoughts about McGregor being the ‘Mayweather’ of MMA. To this, the five-divisional champion responded that it was an insult to him to be compared to the Irishman. Mayweather pointed out that McGregor isn’t undefeated so how can the MMA champion be compared to him.
The latest comments of McGregor won’t make the former boxing champion any happier. According to Chael Sonnen, McGregor will do whatever it takes to get a fight with Mayweather as early as next year.
