UFC News: Michael Bisping advises Luke Rockhold to call time on MMA career
Former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping has provided some words of advice for his old enemy Luke Rockhold by advising his old rival to walk away from mixed martial arts for good.
Bisping recently addressed Rockhold's current situation on his Believe You Me Podcast, and provided the following advice...
“He achieved a lot in the sport. I feel sorry for Luke, even there I was taking the piss. I like Luke, he’s a decent enough guy. He became Strikeforce champion, he became UFC champion. He had some great wins, he had a fantastic career so he’s got a lot to be proud about. And at some point, you do have to move on. You can’t do it forever and certainly, I hate to say it, getting knocked out cold three of your last four it’s definitely time to call it a day.”
Bisping's opinion comes off the back of a difficult run for Luke Rockhold, which culminated in a devastating KO at the hand of Jan Blachowicz at UFC 239 and lead Rockhold to openly speculate about his future in MMA.
Michael Bisping is a man who can speak from experience in this field, after he decided to call time on his illustrious career after suffering two brutal losses in a row at the end of his run in the UFC.
Rockhold is yet to provide a definitive decision on his future in mixed martial arts.
