UFC News: Nurmagomedov tells Dana White he will leave the UFC if he isn't granted a title shot
UFC 205 featured a lightweight bout between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Michael Jonson, which ended with the Russian taking home a flawless victory.
However, Nurmagomedov’s wasn’t completely focused on the fight, as he kept yelling at Dana White who was sitting at ringside, that he wants a title shot. Now the undefeated fighter has taken to social media to give an ultimatum to his employer that he would leave if he weren't granted a shot at the lightweight belt.
Following his win over Johnson, he topped the lightweight rankings to no.1 spot as a challenger. But unfortunately for him, Conor McGregor is now the UFC lightweight champion and tops the ranking as a champion of the division.
The Notorious one knocked out Eddie Alvarez in the 2nd round to be the first to hold two titles simultaneously, but he has been asked to surrender one of his titles. If he holds on to the lightweight title, a fight with Nurmagomedov is inevitable.
This isn’t the first time he has warned the UFC. Before this, he also warned the promotion that he would make sure it wouldn’t be able to hold any events in Russia if he was not given a shot at the belt.
