UFC News: TJ Dillashaw feels UFC Bantamweight Champ Dominick Cruz is ducking him!
TJ Dillashaw and Dominick Cruz have been exchanging words ever since their battle back in January, which didn’t end well for Dillashaw. Despite defending the UFC Bantamweight strap on two occasions, along with two dominant victories over former bantamweight kingpin Renan Barao, Dillashaw is still kept out of the title picture.
Now he is letting go of his frustration as he accuses Cruz of ‘ducking’ him.
The former champ went online and took at shot at Cruz with a picture on Instagram.
According to bjpenn.com, Dillashaw feels that Cruz is avoiding fighting him. He also felt that it was unfair when his former mentor, Urijah Faber, got a title shot when he (Faber) wasn’t the #1 contender.
Cruz, who had vacated his title in 2011, had returned to regain the strap when he faced Dillashaw who fell short of victory. Now rumours suggest that Cody Gabrandt is the next in line to receive his a shot at Cruz’s UFC Bantamweight Championship.
Although nothing is confirmed one thing is for sure; Cruz will defend his title at UFC 207, in T-mobile Arena, Las Vegas. Only the UFC will decide whether it will be Dillashaw, Garbrandt or another mystery opponent.
