Ryan Garcia to become coach amid suspension

Ryan Garcia plans to train his younger brother Sean Garcia for his next outing. After the latter's recent loss to Amado Vargas, Ryan seems to have taken matters into his own hands.

In a video shared on social media post-fight, Ryan said he would be the head trainer for the rematch. It is noteworthy that he is currently serving a one-year ban from boxing over a positive drug test and has been expelled from WBC.

He added on X that his current regiment includes "ostarine, alcohol, and the right hook for Sean."

Megan Olivi weighs in on UFC pound-for-pound debate

Megan Olivi recently opened up on the raging UFC pound-for-pound conversation. While Islam Makhachev remains at the top spot on the official list, UFC CEO Dana White staunchly believes the place belongs to Jon Jones.

Speaking with MMA Junkie, Olivi said:

"I don't put that much stock into the rankings in general anymore. From pound-for-pound to each division... It's difficult because the level of activity is different for everybody."

She continued:

"I think when we're having athletes [like] Alex [Pereira] fight twice in eight weeks and then we're having other people not fight for an entire calendar year, it's kind of tricky. Do they keep that spot? And also, on the flipside, why should they be punished just because they got injured or they haven't been booked or their opponent wants to fight on a specific date? That one's really tricky for me."

Nate Diaz reacts to Conor McGregor's bet

Conor McGregor bet $500,000 on Nate Diaz to win against Jorge Masvidal. The latter emerged victorious with a majority decision win over his former UFC BMF rival, which earned the Irishman a whopping $1,625,000 on the wager.

Reacting to the matter, Diaz said at the post-fight press conference:

"That's cool. Good job for us."

The man always has an unexpected response up his sleeve, doesn't he?
