Serghei Spivac scores UFC heavyweight armbar after four years
UFC Vegas 95 took some heat from fans for one decision result after another, but the night's headliner delivered what it promised. Serghei Spivac secured a first-round finish avenging his 2020 loss to Marcin Tybura, marking one of three stopagge results on the card.
The finish also marked the first armbar submission in UFC heavyweight history since July 2020 when Fabricio Werdum tapped out Alexander Gustafsson.
Spivac now has the second-most number of finishes in heavyweight since 2019, ranked behind Tom Aspinall and Jairzinho Rozenstruik with eight finishes each.

Joe Rogan addresses backlash over Robert F. Kennedy Jr. nod
Joe Rogan recently labeled Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as the only political candidate who "makes sense" as the next president for him. The statement didn't sit well with former POTUS Donald Trump, who lashed out at Rogan on Truth Social.
Amid severe backlash from Trump supporters, Rogan cleared his stance on the matter on X:
"For the record, this isn’t an endorsement. This is me saying that I like RFKjr as a person, and I really appreciate the way he discusses things with civility and intelligence. I think we could use more of that in this world. I also think Trump raising his fist and saying “fight!” after getting shot is one of the most American fucking things of all time. I’m not the guy to get political information from. If you want that from a comic, go to @ComicDaveSmith. He actually knows what he’s talking about."
Alexander Volkanovski's prediction for UFC 305 main event
Alexander Volkanovski broke down how he expects the upcoming middleweight title fight between Dricus du Plessis and Israel Adesanya to go at UFC 305. He believes Adesanya will not be caught off guard against the South African's "awkward" style like he was against Sean Strickland and will be prepared with an explosive game plan.
Volkanovski said:
"Dricus [Du Plessis] is very awkward, very unorthodox. He's got an awkward pressure... Izzy's going to have a completely different adjustment [than the Sean Strickland fight], and he's going to capitalize. The awkward, unpredictable sort of style that Dricus is going to give - I don't feel like Izzy is going to be surprised.
"And that's what I mean by getting a finish, I mean like you coming in and doing all this sort of stuff and him just doing his freaky sort of stuff, leaning back, boom, boom sort of stuff. Sort of like a Rob[ert] Whittaker type of finish."
